He's not just coming back from injury, he needs to build up his fitness completely after he was basically frozen out of pre-season at Monaco as they tried to force him to move. His injury rehabilitation only really started when he moved to us, and he missed the benefit of all the pre season friendlies which would have given some good game time. I reckon he needs another couple of reserve games before he is fit to play 45 minutes for the 1st team, and then another week or so to be at full fitness.

LVG has said he would rather Falcao played for the reserves for the last week or so, but has needed him on the bench due to Wilson and Rooney's injuries. So he's obviously only there if needed in an emergency (i.e. we need a late goal) or if the game is comfortable and the team can carry him a bit. Neither of those were applicable yesterday, so he didn't play.

you signed a flop and are paying him 350k a week to sit on the bench, that is the falcao situation in a nutshell. everyone knows this

Interesting stats for the Carrick haters. Five wins in a row since he came back and now the best passing team in the league.

The team to have completed the most passes per game – 580
The team to have retained possession the most – 60.5 per cent
The team to have completed the most accurate passes – 86.7 per cent

Not against the saints though :bandit:

Almost time to make history lads. Regardless of the result this will surely be liverpools worst ever champions league group stage showing.
