Yeh mito thats a garbage post and you know it.

6 first teamers signed. Truly van Gaals team now.

<laugh>

truely van gaal's.... you mean when they lose next game he'll have to take responsibility for sitting o nthe bench arsefaced?

course its garbage, its all in good fun....

can we have a seriosu discussion of tactical requirements to make this utd team a success now?

I mean it was fun and all, and laughing at arsenal is gonig to be fun but what serious line ups work for utd (and pelase no tired carrick and such crack)

I thought at first

De Gea
Rafael Jones Rojo Blind
Herrera Felliani
dimaria Rooney RVP (relegate rvp back out to the left where he belongs)
Falcao

but then i just laughed cos utd fans hate the felliani moyes link. I cannot see how mata has a real role in this set up barring of course RVP being phooked. The thing is will the 5-3-2 persist?

will shaw shed 3 stone? will he even play under LvG? We have to see any team with di maria and falcao should be top class up front (if falcao has recovered of course) so te real question is how will blind be used and can LvG get ultimate graft from the weaker non LvG players i nthe line up so that his new starts can make the difference without goals being leaked behind

Could put Blind in CM instead of Fellaini and put Shaw LB. Or if Shaw's not fit, Rojo LB and Evans CB.

Midfield: Put Di Maria on the left, drop RVP and put Mata on the right.

Could also go diamond, drop Fellaini, Di Maria and Mata on the left and right, Rooney as the tip and RVP and Falcao up front.

nah you can't do that diamond. you need runners to play box to box and sorry but mata certianly aint that and it'd be a shameful waste of dimaria not to play him on the tip of diamond.

I've got better things to do with my time than worry about how United might line-up. I'll stick with the certain knowledge that there spending became more and more desperate and that, at first sight, does not address the midfield and defensive problems. What happens to them after this is not my problem

Not so much worried as interested. Agree that the signings don't seem to address their biggest problems (I think Swarbs said on the United board a week or so ago that they seem to just be going for who's available and not who they really need). It's like one of the tangram puzzles where you have to get the pieces into some sort of shape that works. And no, it's not our problem, it's LVG's.

Why comment on something you're not going to waste time thinking about?!

Falcao is a great player, but he not the fastest even before his ACL and I think Utd have little pace in the team. If they can link up well it will work, but for me the link between the defence and attack is week, take Herrera out of the game and they could struggle. I guess we will have to wait and see but he will have to be a lot better than he was last season to be a PL hit.
