Watching the Liverpool game. A few things: From an Attacking perspective they are going to be even more dynamic and dangerous. Will score a lot of goals. But they are soo open. Don't have a DM.. Kirkez and Frimpong are both attacking fullbacks, Konate is error prone and Van Dijk is past his best. Bournemouth are 1-0 down but should be winning this. They had the better chances.
Good game - but Liverpools forward quality won them the game. They could easily have conceded 4-5 though.
This is why investing in your attack and getting transition threats/chance creators are so important. You can rely on outscoring the opposition with players like that. I just don't believe we have enough of those types of players in our squad. Eze would have changed that, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen now.
Sure but the saying goes' Attack wins you games and Defence wins you titles'.. or something like that.
Potters West Ham side look soo disjointed and disorganised. I reckon they are going to get relegated.
It's amazing that this guy was one of the favourites for the England job and landed big money move too Chelsea. He's looked clueless since leaving Brighton.
Amorim's little tactics board with the pieces falling on the ground, and his fetal position during the penalty shoot out was absolutely epic!
Funny with Waltemade scoring for Newcastle makes me think.. we've returned to the old fashioned big targetman CF . Sesko 6'5 Haaland 6'5 Waltermade 6'6 Etikike 6'3 Gyokeres 6'3 (and Havertz 6'4) Mateta 6'4 Wood 6'3
Only got 5pts from our the next five prem games last season. Need a statement win against City again.
Unsure what to make of Liverpool. They haven't been particularly impressive in any of the 4 games this season, but they have a maximum return. You can argue it's probably a good thing that they've not played well, yet still won all their games, as they could be even better when they click. But football doesn't always work that way. And I still think they look a bit unbalanced. Suppose it's still a bit too early to draw any definitive conclusions just yet. However, they are the current PL champions, so need to assume they can continue this pace until they show they don't.
