Coquelin isn't good enough for Arsenal. Matic isn't good enough for Arsenal either (well, if we want to be a competitive team both domestically and in Europe that is). Besides, I just don't see where Matic fits into our team. I prefer Xhaka to Matic if I'm going to be totally honest.

It's a game of opinions at the end of the day, but apart from his first season with Chelsea, I just don't think he's been that impressive and I don't see how he would improve us. If Chelsea are putting his valuation at around £40m, I'd much rather get someone else for that sort of money. United are welcome to him.

He would not suit Arsenal at all.
He is very much a Mourinho type player.

How would you define a "Mourinho type" player?

From what I have seen of his teams over the years the best description would be "winner".
You could be right about him not suiting Arsenal :bandit:

Well a DM in a Mourinho side will hardly ever cross the halfway line, for a start.
It's not meant as an insult.

    Lol i know.
I am on this forum at work all the time but i have my own office. New girl started and came into my office for a company introduction and she was greeted with Cara's arse on my screen 100% certain she saw it. I'm technically her boss but was still highly inappropriate so i will have to change it

    Wenger critical of Neymar move:

The Arsenal boss has said: "For me it is the consequence of ownerships which has changed completely the landscape of football.

"Once a country owns a club it becomes very difficult."

What he and everyone has forgotten to mention is the number of times Real and Barca have got state money to dig themselves out of financial problems.

On a side note, what about the countless times Barca or Real have bullied teams into selling their players? Just because PSG had the audacity to challenge the status quo, we have La Liga and others up in arms? They quote fair play when it suits them, but it's them that put these ludicrous buy-out clauses in place. I bet once the Neymar deal goes through, we'll have them bullying teams into selling their star players again. Coutinho from Liverpool comes to mind.

when the prices get to this level then something will have to change, and AW saying that players will just stay for length of contracts then he might be right as who wants to pay such stupid prices

Including wages that deal is going to cost PSG more than half the value of the whole club

This deal will have serious repercussions. Even before it went through we've seen players like Xhaka, Walker, Lukaku etc go for over inflated amounts. As Mourinho points out, it's not the cost of the Neymar deal that is the problem, as he'll bring plenty on and off the pitch. It's the not so good players, that will now cost much more, that'll be the problem.

PSG hav'nt ****ed the market. Its been ****ed for a couple of Seasons now.

If Lukaku is worth £90 million, Morata £70 million, Walker £50million, Pickford £30 million..... £200m for Neymar is reasonable.

Of course all of these transfers are massively inflated and it needs to change. FFP - what the hell happned to that? because cleeeearly it's not working or even being imposed.
