Not when at the same time we become cash strapped and have to finance a new stadium..if you were talking about a stagnant club or one that you were improving at a greater rate like say manchester united it would take you decades(s) but we had to go backward on the pitch to bounce back in a big way,f rom 04/05 you had a better squad than is and it was performing accordingly too so when did roman come a year earlier,it took just a season after all. #COYG!
Jaime Vardy has not turned into a bad player overnight, the leicester team is not clicking as it used yo and he is putting decent performances in the cl and scored for england i guess...im happy we dodnt go for Janssen, when it looked like we would get no one i wanted us to take a punt on both milik and janssen, the Eredivisie top scorers, they actually cost only 50m combined but we dodged a bullet woth janssen, not our type and milik was the real deal but is out for months,i am actually very pleased with perez...he is back for efl and to me looks more promising than Vardy,Milik or Janssen are. #COYG!
So, Koeman didn't have a happy return to St. Mary's I see... I'm surprised to see Everton still in 7th as they've won 1 game in the last 8 (according to reports). Not sure why he's been struggling with them after such a promising start, but some have been saying that he's been picking players based on their reputation rather than merit. Jagielka, from what I've seen, has had a bad start to the season, giving away penalties and not looking as sturdy at the back as he once was. He's not exactly a spring chicken and should be dropped, but Everton's alternatives at CB aren't really up to much. I suspect Everton will finish between 7th-9th.
Chelsea beat City 3-1 at The Etihad. Wow. That is some statement of intent from them. They had a few fortunate decisions go their way early on, but on the whole, Chelsea were resilient, clinical and City couldn't cope with their width. Conte has got a winning formula that no-one seems able to crack at the moment, fair play to them. Aguero's tackle on Luiz at the end was horrific. He's an amazing player, but he does have a very dark side to him sometimes. Unleashing your frustration like that is not on at all, he could have potentially ruined Luiz's career. The positive for us is that both Aguero and Fernandinho - important players for City - will be missing when we face them in a couple of weeks.
Was trying to remember the rules... Defo 3 game ban for straight red? They're not playing some stupid league cup game between now and then are they which would eat up one of the suspensions?
Man City reminded me of Arsenal today. Played some great stuff and could have been 3-4 up at half time. Caught several times on the break and ultimately went on to loose 3-1.
How will they be missing?A straight red is a 3 match ban including the game they were playing in,we play them on the 19th matchday,so besides the regular 2 game ban, they need to be banned for an additional 3 games right? COYG!
Not playing well, yet still the best defence in the PL, only 3 pts off the top 4 and GD thereabouts ...
Augero will get a four match ban. A red card for violent conduct usually warrants a three game ban but because he's already been red carded this season, it's extended to four games. The suspensions starts from the next domestic game, not the game they were sent off in.
Oh dear it looks like City have lost their best player for quiet a few games. They could lose a lot of points unless Pep re-jigs his team to compensate and get results.
It is an automatic 3 match ban starting with the next domestic game. Next 3 domestic Man City fixtures are Leicester, Watford and Arsenal (17th match day). Aguero may also miss the Hull game on 26th. But he will definitely play Liverpool on 29th.
Oh,cool but violent conduct is heqdbutting, slapping, elbowing etc..how will a tackle be classified as violent conduct? Two footed or reviewed by the fa...anyways its fantastic for us..after this defeat pep would do his atmost to not lose against us and its good knowing his specialist dm,the only one and his worldclass striker the only one are gone.
