That's true, there is only Spurs that have rivalled Leicester this season so the rest of us can just sit back and admire.
Let's see how the tie turns, I am hoping they do it and win, and then win the whole competition. But even then, that's just really one team, it's not the trend. Nonetheless, Leicester have no chance in hell against Europe's top sides, and top 4 sides, that's just the way it is, and them representing the epl as champs is an embarrassment.
We can admire Leicester, **** Spurs....But even then if all of us didnt underachieve and play so badly, Spurs-Leicester would not be where they are.
At least we have still managed decent results, wins over Munich, Barca, Dortmund, both Milan teams when they were good, Madrid, Juve, and other respectable European teams. Leicester will never do that.
Just to point out, Arsenal haven't underachieved this season. You are on course to finish 3rd (if you don't collapse) which will be your joint highest finish in the last 13 years.
In the context of how events have unfurled this season, of course we have. Ranieri has been at Leicester for, what, 10 months? And he's on the cusp of winning the league with a side who were favourites to get relegated last season and who all the pundits said would get relegated at the beginning of this season. For us to not win the league when all the other top sides have looked mediocre and we've had the most stability is an embarrassment for us. Ultimately though, this is what we've been reduced to - an embarrassment of a club with low aspirations and no hope of winning anything significant. Until there's a restructuring of management and at board level, we will continue to be also-rans.
Are you forgetting Spurs? If Leicester hadn't had such a good season Spurs would be winning it and you would be second, which would be your highest finish for 13 years. That would be an achievement not underachievement.
Nope, sorry. 2nd is still not good enough considering the teams we normally 'compete' with have looked below-par all season. They won't be this rubbish next season. Anything other than winning the league for Arsenal this season can only be classified as gross underachievement. We didn't capitalise on City, United or Chelsea looking off the pace. Instead we're going to get our usual 3rd/4th place finish in a season where this looked to be our best ever opportunity in the past 12 years.
Our wage bill is higher than Spurs, finishing below them means we will underachieve this season. So not sure what the **** you are going on about, our squad and manager are not paid to finish below ****ing Spurs and Leicester, the 'big' teams below us should also be ashamed of themselves.
I have never seen a pound coin score a goal. Nobody pays their squad or manager to finish below others, the fact is there can only be one winner and everybody else should just congratulate them and try harder next season. Big grounds, lots of fans and lots of money does not make a good team, the players drive, will and team spirit pushes them that extra bit. How many United players of the past did you laugh at and think weren't good enough for your team whilst all the while they were part of title winning teams?
We are talking about under or overachieving, if a team with less resources than us finish above us over a 38 game season, then yes, we have underachieved, because we have the necessary resources to be better than them, but for whatever reason have not used them (like buying no ****ing outfield players last summer).
