Well done Captain Obvious. But I don't think you should be talking about how to beat Stoke away, given that you couldn't even score against them yourselves or manage to get a point against them , As I'm sure you'll understand though, that goal you scored came out of nowhere. You had created nothing for 80 minutes. Whilst I'm sure you will revel in your win today, especially as it was the Scousers, this merely papers over the cracks. Dull performance, dull players and an even duller manager.
Everything you say is true but, we scored a goal, out of nothing, you didn't score a goal out of whatever you think you did (maybe nothing like us?)
Not saying we deserved to win today because we created next to nothing, too. However, in the context of the season, there's no reason to expect the win at Anfield to be the impetus to 'kickstart' your season. You didn't play well, but I think the fact that you won is a testament to just how average Liverpool are, rather than how good your mob are.
I'm happy United won, not very happy, but the reason i'm slightly happy is that it means LVG stays in his job, I really don't see United sacking him at all this season now, we're approaching February, and if they do decide to sack him like Moyes, think Giggs will act as temporary manager, which isn't going to do much wonders either. With LVG at United, you can expect much of the same, boring football, inconsistency, and the best they can hope for, 4th, which I doubt they will get, unless Spurs bottle it.
The only kickstart our season could get is a new manager that knew how to use the players to the best of their ability
In general though, and its strange, other than against us, United have gotten good results against the big sides, so it's not the kick start you would expect, they thrashed Everton away, thrashed Liverpool home, drew with City, beat Spurs etc, so they have gotten the results against the big sides, in general though, they cannot get it done against the so called smaller sides, so nothing has really changed.
Leicester will not finish top 4, I guarantee it. Top 6? Possibly. I watched them against Villa and they looked very average, it was like they were running on empty in the last 15 minutes. Looking at their fixture list, they have some pretty tough away games. Against the big sides and against those who will be fighting for survival in the Prem.
They had a slight dip (rest) around October and everybody thought they were done, I think they can carry on if they don't suffer important injuries.
Sad to say but sometimes you have to prioritise, and they need to focus on the league than on the FA cup, they simply don't have the squad to do it.
Fair point. They'll probably take going out of the FA cup if it allows them to concentrate on the league.
The Norwich vs Liverpool game was absolutely mental Liverpool win 4-5. Norwich were 3-1 up, then they were losing 3-4, they equalise midway through stoppage time and then in the final minute of stoppage, Lallana scores the winner. Defending was disgusting from both sides.
