Lolz, at home, with all our attacking players, we couldn't even put 1 past West Ham, and never looked close to doing so, and Leicester just grabbed one at Upton Park. We truly are direly **** sometimes.
People acting as if other teams haven't beaten teams we've lost to before, and vice-versa for us as well.
TBH we just make it easy for teams, even if they are a bag of ****. Our football last week was so predictable, slow, and lacking any proper decisiveness, so it's not exactly hard to play against. Remember the commentator also saying we struggle when we play it slow, and it's when we play with quick 1-2 passes that we make it difficult. But when everything is slow, side to side, one forward pass then back, that's not hard to defend at all when you have bodies back. And with Arsenal, you always know we will gift you goals too, both of West Ham's goals were so easily preventable, it's not like they even had to properly try for the goal and were good in attack, their attacking play against us was just as useless as it is today against Leicester. That's basically been the story of Arsenal for the last 10 years.
We've won 1 opening day fixture in the last 6 years. It's a recurring theme. We shouldn't be starting seasons so slowly. Whilst I understand there's 37 games left, dropping points to teams like West Ham at home shouldn't be happening so early on in the season. Towards the business end perhaps it would make more sense if a team is fighting against relegation or is in contention for a European spot, but no way should it be happening this early on. Justifying it by saying 'oh well this happens to other teams too' doesn't cut it. We shouldn't be comparing ourselves to other teams, we should be looking at our own performances.
Bit like everyone thought you lot had it last week I'm looking on the bright side...that's a point more than we got off stoke season...and we got a point ... only 39 more needed
I don't actually drink so being a spurs fan is like purgatory. .. endless pain with nothing to numb it...except if your lot are kind enough to screw up like last week...any chance of another bit of compassion ?
