Okay i know this is ridiculous to say. But if Chelsea lose here and we beat them at home (ignoring all the other games both teams need to play) that means we are only 6 points behind Chelsea with 8 games more to account for. hhhhmmmm!!!!!!

Chelsea would have to do a "Devon Loch" not to win the league now.

And I thought Arsenal were profligate in front of goal yesterday. Southampton have been much more wasteful. Chelsea to win this.

Chelsea have a game in hand against Leicester though. There aren't many certainties in this league but I can't see them blowing that much of a lead. Still, we should aim to win as many games as we can and build up a decent points total. 2nd is very achievable.

Thats why I threw in us beating them as well. It means Chelsea can be a maximum of 6 points ahead of us including their game in hand. The results would be out of order but basically if Chelsea lose today and we win the game against them. There are 7 games and (a max of) 6 points gap to oversee.

EDIT - Just realised my mistake it should be 6 points and 7 games not 8 as i originally said. I am sticking with hmmmmmmm!!!!

Forster has single handedly kept Southampton in this game.

That being said Southampton winning this seems quite unlikely now.

A point away at Stamford Bridge, especially against a wounded Chelsea is a great result for any team. Southampton though, will look back at this game and be regretful for not taking their chances.

It would be brilliant if Southampton got that 4th spot. They need a few Man United and Liverpool slip ups but their GD is pretty good.

Southampton's inability to score from open play.
Forster having the game of his life.
