You are so typically a gooner A87 <laugh> I've been listening to that from Arsenal fans season in season out for nearly two decades. And I laugh every time I hear it. You live in this world (that Wenger has created in your minds whether you like it or not) that if you play pretty football you are the best, when the reality, as United have shown you throughout premier league history, is something completely different. Now go dry your eyes mate :)

He's a classic Arsenal fan that was schooled under Wenger. Many got sucked in when Wenger created Wengerball back in the late 90's and early 00's.

The same 'Wenger ball' that made Fergie AND the rest of the League sit up and take note. In fact they took it a step further and copied him.

Yes, but they have Mesut Ozil Mesut Ozil (so good they name him twice) <laugh>
Think they bought him to keep Wilshere company in the treatment room now RVP has gone.

I don't need to name every manager who Wengers style of football and training techniques influenced but winning a premiership title from a then dominant United and an unbeaten season is sure to make any good manager want to emulate it or better it.

'Wenger ball' at its peak was as much a result as what was taking place away from the pitch as it was on it.

Fergie never tried to copy Wengerball as he was always more interested in sustained and long term success. Wengerball was great to watch but it needed all the right players together at the same time which is difficult to sustain. Wengerball lite doesn't win much.

Wengerball sucked in certain fans who thought it was the future of football. Those fans have often been left frustrated and confused, some of them are now turning on Wengerball.

How do you equate a man who hands a club over to David Moyes to have any interest in sustained success? There is much evidence to suggest 'wengerball' has done us fine up until this point. It's mission accomplished for Wenger in the sense that he literally turned Arsenal into a global club. Not through an injection of billionaire money but through constant champions league football which crated a higher profile which in turn created more revenue. He has been doing that for the last 17 seasons so please don't talk about Wenger as some has been manager. He is a Legend not just at Arsenal but in the world of football. Ask Real Madrid how many times they have tried to poach him during his tenure at Arsenal!

Yes but sustained success after he was gone, as in for his successor.

He left Utd in a mess.

The only people doing this are Arsenal supporters, everybody else knows how well he has done to keep you at the top for the last 17 years.

At least Wenger managed abroad, Fergie realised he could be a big fish in a small pool with plenty of money to buy success year on year. Managers like Bobby Robson, Mourinho & Ancelotti etc have proved their talent with successes with multiple clubs.

The decision to move abroad is helped greatly by being sacked by the English club you are managing (see Moyes and others for examples).

I don't think you have to play the prettiest footy to be the best, you lot are just s**te, lol simple as that and are riding your luck...Chelski when they dominated with Mo during his first reign were hardly beauty to the eyes, yet I have no problem in saying they were one of the best teams in the Premier League's history.

So get your facts straight, I'm not saying you're rubbish because your football is rubbish, but because you ARE rubbish. This 6 win streak doesn't change it as you have been lucky, lucky to beat us and Southampton.

Even your own bloody legend Gary Nevile realises this and has been saying it, which rattled your butt-head lookalike manager who lashed at out Nevile.

Neville actually said we were playing like a pub team which, given the standered of the league this season, and the fact we are only third is probably true <ok>

Yep you said it 3rd is bad for a team like utd especially with no European football to worry about. You should be coasting the League.

We should, i agree. If we ever get more than seven first choice players on the pitch all at the same time for a run of games i expect us to do much better <ok>
