Goodness me, how good are Munich, down to 10 men coming from 1-0 down to be winning, it looks like City have the 10 men.
Chelsea have been ruthless against Schalke. Say what you like about them this season but they look like the real deal unfortunately.
Chelsea have been very good this season and tbh I don't see who is going to challenge them. None of the traditional top teams are playing particularly well. Utd look s**t, we've been failing to get results, Liverpool and Tottenham haven't realised the season has started yet and city only have two wins in there last eight games in all competitions. All the top teams need a kick up the arse or Chelsea are going to stroll to silverware this season.
Oh and the way bayern pass is brilliant, they knock it sideways and backwards, but with purpose, when they move the ball around quickly like that it draws the opposition out of shape and then a quick switch of play, long ball or through ball and they have acres of space. Bayern are starting to look like barca at there peak with the style of football. Guardiola is most definitely making this team his own.
Bayern throwing it away quicker than city threw away there first half lead! Some absolute comedy defending, worse than us!
Giving him the ball infront of the box twice in a row with only the keeper to beat was suicide from bayern, terrible defending. And after working so hard and passing the ball so well to try and hold onto the lead. Aguero saves city from being knocked out of the group stage
In the first half when Alonso gave a really bad back pass I remember telling my dad jokingly that Alonso did it on purpose, that Munich want City to win this....The way Munich just gave that away with really really **** goals, you gotta wonder, ;-) it's never beyond the realms of possibility.
The angle I was coming from wasn't to do with competition, but more financial reasons-betting kind of stuff behind the scenes.
You think Xabi Alonso, who has won the Champions League, World Cup and pretty much everything else, would put his career and future earnings on the line for a few quid?!
That is as likely as someone with a spurs connection burning down a business that was holding up our new ground being built
