So West Ham can beat City, and even the mighty Arsenal who have massively improved can't, lol.

Yeah absolutely agree with you on that.

The Benders are great players, Lars would be the more likely to leave IMO. Carvalho would also be a very good signing.

I'm slightly biased because I always rated Song. I felt the criticism that he went forward to much was unfair because it was more a tactical decision than an error on Songs part.
Still if you consider DM's tend to be like centrebacks and they hit their peak a little later in age (around 30) then Song still has his best years ahead of him. We apparently turned down the chance to sign him which for me - is a mistake. He is better than Flamini (and can cover the CB position).

I think its more likely we will sign a CB in January but I do think a TOP class DM like Lars Bender should be a priority.

So does that make West Ham better than Arsenal? That's just schoolyard logic.

Where did I say that they're better? It's just overall pathetic that West Ham can do it, and the MIGHTY ARSENAL can't get it done, in fact we haven't managed to win a big game this season, but no worries we're an elite team with great improvements, lol.

Oh even though I didn't say they're better than us, currently they are doing better than us in the league, 8 points above us. The MIGHTY ELITE ARSENAL WHO HAVE MASSIVELY IMPROVED THIS SEASON are 8 points behind West Ham, lol.

why do you take so much joy in the team you support not performing to its potential?

I want the team to perform to it's best, which is why I am pissed off, but when the brigade and the club chat so much s**t, they deserve to get scorn. Simples as that.

So for all this talk of IMPROVEMENT and how ELITE we are, we're 8 points behind West Ham, and haven't managed to win a single big game so far, while even WHU were capable of beating City.

What should I do? Delude myself like the brigade does and put a positive spin to everything? I prefer to stick with reality rather than delusions.

It's pathetic that we didn't beat the Champions??! No it really isn't.
City are a quality side. Hats of the West Ham I say.

It's pathetic that you want to use a good performance from West Ham as another reason to attack the club you apparently support. I criticise Wenger for the **** he does wrong but I also support my club. You should try that.

Yes it is pathetic that we can never win in the big games, City weren't champs last season, what excuse was there to not beat them?

Lol so now that's the new spin job, City were CHAMPIONS....So what excuse do you have that we couldn't beat Chelsea again? Or for that matter all the other big games we played in the last several years against the top 3 sides, 2 of whom weren't the 'champions'.

It's simple, we hardly win in the big games, whether they're the champs or not, but hey if your new spin caveat makes you feel better, then go ahead and delude yourself into it.

That's not SPIN. that's a fact. City are the Champions. They are second favourites to win the league again this year.

Their squad cost upwards of £600 Million. Its never pathetic - Not to beat a side like that.

Our record in the big games is pathetic - That we can agree on.

But there's a big difference between wanting the team to do the best it can - which I'm sure all fans on here want, and taking joy in the team performing poorly just so that fans with one opinion can look down other fans with another opinion.

I also haven't seen many people saying our recent form is an improvement. I know I'm just cheering on the team (even from home) and hoping we win, no matter who we play.

    When we lose I'm devastated.

Well you seem to be confused then because I don't take joy from it, noting how bad we are is not taking joy from it.

Well apologies for misunderstanding you - but the posts do come across as a bit gleeful and gloating.

I want us to win all our games, but when we under perform as badly as we currently are, I am very pissed.

Everyone's pissed mate. Even the most positive Arsenal fan.

We need to get behind the team though.

West ham are 5 points above you and after sunderland finishing embarrassing themselves it'll be just 2 points...big difference in my opinion
