Honestly he's part of our "loser" generation... we are a mess psychologically. I'd rather we get some mentally tough, ambitious players, hoping some of it would rub on to the rest of the team. That's more of what we're missing not midfielders.
No, he was part of a team that was let down because we could never defend and by other weak players. We rarely had problems going forward when we had Cesc. Cazorla is nowhere near the level of Fabregas. The amount of goals and assists that man got for us was stunning. Maybe, he was not to ready to captain us, but he was always the leader on the pitch with his performances.
Regardless, he goes to his dream club hoping to become a key player (fueled by all the media hype) and barely becomes a key squad player let alone a starter, and then comes back to his old club. Hardly the winning mentality we need to add to our club. We need players who are completely foreign to our lowered expectations throughout the seasons. Milan 2-0
This game should be a demonstration of how much tactics can bridge the gap on quality. Absolutely relentless pressure by Milan at every point of the game when Barcelona have the ball.
Not true this season. Fabregas has been a starter for them this season with Iniesta playing on the left and Cesc playing in midfield. He has helped them complety boss La Liga and they have all but won the title there. Also, in the summer before Cesc played a key role in Spain's win at the Euro's. Playing as the false 9. He he has the winning mentality alright, it's Wenger that no longer has the winning mentality.
Game over. 2-0 Milan. What a performance. I doubt any team in recent years have stopped and beat Barca like that. Tactical master class from Milan.
Milan have generally been poor this season, but they show that if you go into a game with TACTICS and some real motivation, you can do it.
Wonder if Wenger watched Milan tonight. Even if he did I'm sure he didn't learn anything from milan and Allegri's tactics tonight
He really isn't if you watch any Serie A. They just had the right tactics today, their whole team defended as a unit.
Nah, this performance was worse. Against, Chelsea he was more involved but Chelsea managed to stop him just before he was about to do something. Tonight even in general play he was quiet. Do not really recall him going on one dribble, because as soon as he got the ball they surrounded him.
Just watching the Liverpool v Zenit game - How come, in the Europa League, do Liverpool cover the seats behind the goal? Is it a requirement for the Europa league?
