My school team could have taken better penalties than that. Dreadful stuff. Still good to see United will finish trophyless this season.
United going to need much more than mata their defence us weak their wingers suck and most of their midfield is average
To be honest, while I think Mata is a great signing, and the combo of Rooney-RVP-Mata looks good, I just don't think Moyes is a world class manager that will be able to take United to the heights they're used to, it's true he has had an average squad, but he just doesn't look the part, he always feels out of place when I see him, doesn't feel like he's the Manunited manager, and it's like even he doesn't believe he's the United manager. Also other Q's too, does Rooney want to stay at the club? Is RVP back to his same old injury prone self, lot's of questions to be answered, personally think Rooney will be off in the summer. He doesn't have the 'it' factor.
Speaking of United, you've got to consider this, are they relegation material without RVP-Rooney? Just look at how abysmal their record has been without those 2 (mind you, even when both were fit, United were still dropping points, which shows United have some big problems). Have they lost something like 7 out of their last 8 games, with 6 of them being at home? That's currently worse than Crystal Palace.
Funny thing is, people will point to their injury record is being the source of their problems but then they were playing badly even with Rooney/RVP in the team. Suggests the players are not the only issue. If they get Mata it will definitely help but he's definitely not what they need most right now.
