I ****ing hate Man Utd but i'd take the loyalty of their fans over ours any day. When they were relegated in the 70's they could still attract gates of 50,000+.Twenty years ago we couldn't fill a 38,000 capacity stadium

Juventus 16/1/1 W/D/L so far this season, a real chance to break 100 points.

this aint the 70s tho is it , those fans in the 70s came from Manchester and its environs.

These lot now are 12 year old kids who will support whoever is succeeding.
They have been raised on success .

They wont take failure well at all .

With City just down the road ..they dont have to.

I know it's got nothing to do with football, but I thought I'd share a mate's picture he took today of the storm that has been battering our little cove down here in the wild west.

The difference between people like me who have lived by the sea all our lives and newcomers like you is we don't take risks by photographing the stormy sea <whistle>

Well I was in the sea when this picture was being taken so **** you <whistle> In all honesty though this is a safe place to stand and watch, some people have been risking their lives though by clambering onto sea walls and piers. Two dead in the last few days, one bloke sucked out to sea at Porthleven and one woman drowned after getting swept away by a wave at Croyde.

We've been spared the worst of the storms, due to the wind direction. When we do get a bad one the council closes the prom. You always get the idiots who ignore the closure but they are never local. It's the same when someone gets hurt in Snowdonia. It's never locals.

The two who were killed down here weren't local either. I've watched tourists paddle out into the most horrendous swells down here before despite pleading with them not to go in. But there's a bit of a attitude of 'I'm on holiday, I'm going surfing'. Fortunately most of them just get washed back up the beach before they can get into any real difficulty.

This was Portreath this morning. There used to be a solid Granite stone hut on the end of that pier before today's storm.
