Adebayor with a good goal....I wanted to rest Merte for the Spurs game, but with Adebayor playing, and looking fresh, I think we're gonna need the big German to deal with the ****er.
We can afford to play a strong team VS Spurs, as our next game is going to be more than a week away with Villa on a Monday, so we'd have over a good weeks rest, so there isn't a major reason to rest players for this game, someone like Mertesacker.
To be fair, he does look like the only decent player in the team with good potential, other than the established 2 of Rooney and RVP.
He definitely can be a great player but after his brace he got on his debut, the hype has exceeded his current ability. I just hope the high expectations doesn't stunt his growth.
I'm a football fan first before anything. Nothing worse than seeing a good talent get stunted by the hype machine. Plus, who's to say he will stay at United? If he gets better and the ship continues to sink, who knows?
