Mark Hughes hates Arsenal so it's always good to see him lose, that it was against Spurs is slightly rankling. I'm hoping for a draw for you against Utd. It's a shame that there isn't a way that you can both lose though
So Liverpool find themselves 6 points off first place and in 5th, just a few days after going top (on goal difference) on Christmas! How quickly things change. I think Liverpool have done great so far this season, but was amazing how much hype they got for being top (on goal difference) at Christmas, it's like all the pundits and everyone else decided to ignore how good we have also been this season, and this year. Yeah Liverpool go top for a few days (on goal difference) and it's wow the good times may coming back, the light is here, a new era etc....Arsenal top for most of the season, the most in form team all year, ending the year and half way point of the league being at the top, and nahhhhhhhh no need to talk about how good we've been or how this is possibly the start of something good. ****s.
We have a good chance to put some breathing space with us and City-Chelsea in midweek, both of them have tricky away fixtures, City to Swansea, and Chelsea to Southampton (the tougher of the 2)....Further back you have United VS Spurs so somebody will drop points there.
Swansea have been pants this season, fully expect a City win. As for the Chelsea game, well Southampton do have quality but they are not in same form as they were a few months back. Also, feel Victor Wanyama is a massive loss for them.
I got a feeling, dadadadada, that both of them (City+Chelsea) will drop points with the potential for one of them to even lose.
They will never talk about us , it goes against the grain . I tell you what , if we WON the goddam league they still would say its a blip and down to the other teams blowing it , nothing to do with us. fuck em ..fuck em all .!
Wrighty talking sense about safe standing on Radio 5 live. Also talking about the old days of the North Bank terrace and the atmosphere it generated. I consider myself fortunate to have stood on that old terrace and been a part of that great atmosphere. Topside and Middle were iconic days in the history of our fans. Let's hope they bring in safe standing
Standing in seated areas is proven to be more dangerous than modern terracing. Stewards have a tough job because the bottom line is that some people want to stand. If you're in a seat and somebody in front of you stands up then you have to stand up too in order to be able to see. It's time to let those who want to stand the opportunity to do so in a safe area.
I swear Mark Hughes moans about the ref after every ****ing game. Yeah sure, they had some games were the calls have gone against them, but this twat never stops blaming the refs. It's everyone else's fault in his world.
Apparently they've only won one game without Wanyama. Got to fancy Southampton to get something though as Chelsea are a joke on the road. I agree City will win comfortably, expecting a 0-2
Hope you don't as Liverpool are playing some lovely stuff at the moment. Disappointing to see Chelsea win last night especially watching their brand of negative football.
In fairness Chelsea attacked with power and purpose in the first half, they were much stronger. And yes, United are worryingly close now. Good thing for us is that we've played all the top sides away now (apart from United).
Had to laugh at that stupid prick on the Chelsea board claiming that Eto'o 'brushed' Suarez' thigh and he launched himself like a 'Dolphin'.
Paulinho is out for at least a month for the spuds after getting hacked by Charlie 'Chopper' Adam against Stoke. He'll be a big miss for them as he's been their one decent signing who has performed this season. He's also set to miss the FA cup game against us, so that's good news for us.
