It's the Milan derby tonight, a couple of years ago this was seen as one of the biggest games in Europe, now it's a game between two bang average teams who are nowhere near the title in Italy with not a single world class player on show.
I've been saying it for a while now, Benzema is hardly an upgrade on Giroud and is definitely not worth the £30m it'd take to buy him.
Let somebody else pay the big money for Costa in the summer and then just bid against Athletico for whoever they choose as a replacement. It will be a lot cheaper and going off the last few years you will get a player just as good or better.
Only matter of time before Madrid spend some serious dough to replace him. They need that world class CF.
Likewise, been saying the same. I've not seen anything from Benzema that convinces me that we should part with any serious money for him and agree too that he's not an upgrade on Giroud.
Typical self interested Adebayor having a pop at Spurs, that bit is okay of course, but talking about how they disrespected him by leaving him out of the team photo and going on to say how now is 'my glory time'. No talk about how he wants to help his club or teammates, simply me me me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25487647
Yes had a little chuckle reading his self absorbed rant. Saying that, he was too good to stay on the bench for Spurs. He'll probably try really hard to look good so he can ask for his customary move....
I'd love a selfless hard working Adebayor back at arsenal like he was the season be scored 30. Unfortunately he doesn't exist anymore.
I liked that interview very much I don't hear any rant at all. If AVB did leave him out of team photos, then he is right to be upset about it. His performance yesterday was excellent (never seen that pace before from him), and the noises coming from him are good. If that is a rant, may he keep ranting!
Adebayor cares about one thing and that is Adebayor. The one consistent in his career is that he'll put his own interests before that of his club's. If he goes on a good run of form, expect to hear lots coming out of Adebayor's mouth, before the inevitable lazy and arrogant whining returns and he starts blaming others for the problems.
You took the words right out my mouth. SD can convince himself otherwise yet the evidence is stacked very high against the whining one. It's a shame really, he could have been something special at Arsenal, but Adebayor got in the way....
It's a bit like Anelka, although Anelka was more talented and the circumstances were different when he left Arsenal. But essentially both players never captured the form they had at Arsenal and ended up being journeymen.
Looking forward to the Man City game against Liverpool on boxing day, which comes straight after our game. What are the chances of Liverpool getting something from this game? They have arguably the most inform player in world football at the moment in Suarez, and are on a great run. City have an epic home record and score for fun. Hopefully it's going to be a dour draw, but I feel City are going to have too much for Liverpool and their defence.
