Spuds penalties are covering up a multitude of sins so far this season. I said it after the end of the window, but for the massive amount of money they spent they have not got any world class players. They go on about 'net spend' all the time, but one world class player out and none in is bad business whatever way you look at it.
Penalties result from defenders being unable to cope with attacks and are as valid a way of scoring as any other. 'World Class' players are very hard to come by. Ozil is the only world class player you've got and I'm not convinced he would actually get into a World Squad. I think the players we brought will turn out well with time, but none of them are as good as Bale or Ozil for sure.
Man you talk a load of ****. He's rated as the best play maker in the world and plays for the best (or Spain on a given day) International team in the world, and is regarded as their best player.
It was just an opinion. Real Madrid obviously rate Modric and Isco or they would not have sold him, Barcelona have got Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas. Oscar, Mata, Schneider and Pirlo are possibilities as well. Only two or three of those are getting into the world squad. I don't think Ozil is a shoe in.
