I'm going to back track a little here because my original point was that no manager should know the details of a release clause. The only reason I am back tracking is because I don't actually care if underhand tactics have taken place or not, it happens all the time and will continue to happen no matter what we discuss
Clauses in contracts are usually confidential, but release clauses are also usually public knowledge. There are always exceptions, but if you want to take the average Liverpool fan's view of this Suarez contract, then Suarez should be going after his lawyers for criminal negligence. In this age of player power, the stuff they put into the contract to help him leave, so that he could get CL football, seems to have been complete nonsense. All that is missing, is that the buying manager needs to have any offer signed by all 5 of his grandparents.
If its public knowledge, why we been debating it for about two weeks...? You keep telling yourself I have a Liverpool fan's view of things
I haven't seen much debate on the fact that the 40M clause exists. If you believe that the whole thing hinged on whether Arsenal are legally considered in the CL or not, then it all makes perfect sense, and everybody is being reasonably sensible. But carry on believing that the only smart people in the world are Liverpool fans and that everyone else is an idiot, it's a free world.
You really do have a trumpet up your arse don't you! Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean I have a blinkered Liverpool fans view! Feel free to pop over to the Liverpool or Man Utd (that's right, a proper rival board and I club I openly admit to disliking) board and ask how biased I am! I could quite easily spin it on its head and say you have a 'Arsenal fans view' and you clearly only believe what favours your club You said that release clauses are public knowledge, if that is the case then feel free to provide evidence
What is Messi's release clause amount? Soldado's? just Google them. Usually they are only disclosed to clubs making enquiries, but there is no prohibition on players disclosing them.
That's different, they are based in Spain were for years it has been compulsory for all contracts to contain release clauses. That is not the case in England
Release clauses are not public knowledge, otherwise Arsenal wouldn't be bidding 40+1, some have been made public. whats your point? Suarez was not, it could not have been because there is none yet everyone was claiming there was
So what you are saying is that release clauses are usually secret in England where they don't have any?
Did you just type that? did you? they are not compulsory so it is not known unless someone triggers it with an offer I would imagine, like you lot trying to trigger a clause you did not know existed for sure, as it did not exist For Suarez, remember? You were all convinced he had one
With the way you were posting / typing, I actually thought you were intelligent, but that is by far and away one of the most stupid posts I think I have seen Edit: for the record; in Spain they are compulsory, in England they are optional subject to negotiation between club and player
Can you try and stick to stuff you haven't imagined. It would really make it easier to understand you.
I was paraphrasing what you wrote, so I do agree you are stupid. You seem to be mixing up the word compulsory and the word confidential. Just because something is compulsory, it doesn't mean that it is confidential and vice-versa.
My dads bigger than you dad too I suggest you do some research on release clauses in Spain compared to England, I'm not going to sit here and try to teach you District Line...Can I have some of that popcorn? However, if it's going out of date I want it on the cheap
Once again the ****ing attitude that you are smarter than everyone else. Including Suarez's legal team, Arsenal's legal team, all Arsenal supporters and everyone else. Honestly we are so lucky on the Arsenal board to have a pompous ass like you to come over here and tell us how stupid we are. And expect us to be polite to you and have a sensible debate. **** off!
