Just feel that once again you are assuming everyone is stupid. Arsenal let Fabregas go for a deal that they felt was worth 40M. First they also inserted a clause that made it more or less impossible for Barcelona to sell him on. They felt that 40M was cheap. Once again let's stop trying to think up wild and fantastic things that "might" be true and go with what is probably true. 1. Manchester United haven't even offered Barcelona what they paid for Fabregas. 2. Fabregas has played more often for Barcelona than any other player apart from the goalkeeper. 3. He was only played out of position 1/3 of the time, mostly when Messi was injured or rested. 4. He has stated on over 20 separate occasions that his dream is to play for Barcelona, but the only club apart from them he would play for is Arsenal. 5. He constantly tweets and posts on his official accounts, his support for Arsenal. 6. Wenger completely believes that if Fabregas leaves Barcelona, that Arsenal have "First Refusal" on Fabregas for 25M. Now. We can try and ignore ALL that and assume that Wenger is an idiot, find some ambiguous statement from 10 years ago where Fabregas might have praised United, make observations about the lack of loyalty in general from footballers, and make assumptions about the contract that took Fabregas to Barcelona in the first place, once more assuming that all agents and lawyers are idiots. But all the evidence and common sense indicates that this should be taken at face value and Fabregas isn't moving from Barcelona, because if he did, Barcelona would take a huge financial hit when Arsenal automatically get him back for well under his value.
Acc to Sky Sports, Bale left the spuds training camp after telling AVB he wants to go to Madrid. Can anyone verify?
Well that means the **** won't be scoring against us in the Prem anymore Though if we get Madrid in the CL
Interesting that Spurs have sold Steven Caulker to Cardiff, because whenever I have seen him, he has been very good and most Spurs fans rated him highly. A weird one.
I have, and this is just like the Suarez situation. You are thinking of what might be true to justify the outcome that you want, because it is most detrimental to Arsenal. It further presupposes that reasonable and respected professionals are behaving with the maturity and intelligence of a child. But when someone points out what IS true, this is (in your world) given less credence than the imaginary facts. But then on top of it all, you are so used to your audience lapping up anti-Arsenal bullshit, you come onto the Arsenal board and expect Arsenal fans to give you the time of day. How crazy is that!
You obviously never go on the Liverpool board as absolutely no one laps up what I say, far from it You seem to think I am being anti-Arsenal for some reason, maybe because I have a different opinion to yourself? No idea. However, if you had read what I've put you would have seen that I said I like Arsenal and that I'd rather you guys win things before the "big three". All I have said on here is that it is not gauranteed that Cesc would rejoin you, no matter how much he loves Arsenal. What exactly is wrong with that? If you don't see that there is a possibility then I'm afraid you are a blind faith type of fan. If you are referring to the Suarez saga and my comments on this board then they are bound to sound like I'm favouring what would suit us consider the opposite is the case for most posters on this board, this is only natural since its the Arsenal board If your have a bone to pick then feel free to pick away but at least chose ammunition that has some fire power! PS...you've surprised me a little here as I thought most of our conversation had been decent. However, if I've taken what you've said in the wrong way then I apologise
Oh, and for the record, I actually hope you do get Cesc back. I always want to see the best players playing in England Super crazy eh
Gerrez, the only bone I have to pick with you is that you seem to think no one is reading what you write, but we have, you just haven't closed the credulity gap. Personally, I don't think Fabregas is coming to Arsenal, as I have said many times, I think he is staying at Barcelona. But again and again, there seems to be general acceptance that Arsenal put "something" into the contract to : 1. Make sure that Barcelona didn't make a profit off Fabregas. 2. If Fabregas left Barcelona, Arsenal took advantage of his very public statements that he would only play for Barcelona and Arsenal. In the event that they did not want/need him. Now I just can't make it any clearer than to say that there have to be a number of conditions met before Fabregas would go to United. 1. Barcelona have to not want him. (He is their most played player, ) 2. Fabregas has to want to leave. (He has repeatedly said he doesn't want to, and no one has a single good reason why he would want to leave.) 3. Barcelona have to get a respectable amount of money for him. (we have to assume that Arsenal were not morons and got the clause right) 4. That Arsenal do not have first refusal. (Again is Wenger completely deluded, or did the Arsenal lawyers screw up again?) or that Fabregas turns Arsenal down for United. (Again contrary to what Wenger believes and Fabregas has said many times in the past and we know that he would prefer to live in London with his family.) Now I just don't think it is sensible that any rational, clear thinking person can think that all those conditions being met, is even remotely likely. It just cannot be countered with mumbo jumbo about reported contracts and United having to have some encouragement to continue the pursuit. Now I honestly don't expect agreement from Liverpool over Suarez, because it is a shared subject and you have a dog in the fight there, but on this issue, you are going to have to expect us to know more than you do on this one. You need to give it a rest. So I apologize if I was rude, but I'm struggling to see any merit in your argument.
It wasn't an argument and I never claimed to know more about it than Arsenal fans. However, I still think any Arsenal fan thinking he would only go to Arsenal should he leave Barca is deluded. Ie, my point...there is no gaurantee! I'll leave it there as you've clearly got the hump and I don't come on here to argue, I can do that with the mrs Edit: and seem to think your the only one reading it too
You've got to feel for Paulinho, being told that they were going to build a world class team around Bale. He must be wondering what the **** he's done, maybe that spoof video with him crying about being duped into signing for Spurs wasn't actually a spoof after all ?
It's a lot of money to him actually, he earns that in about 2 years (after tax) and 20% of those wages go to Arsenal. So although he can easily afford it, lets not pretend he can just throw money around, he took a big pay cut to go to Barca.
Two years? I stand corrected and now feel sorry for him with my thirty-five year mortgage for a £70k house
