Barca lost today. Their first defeat in the league this season, even this great Barca side can't go undefeated through a league campaign.
On the BBC Gossip column there is a story about Tevez wanting to see out the 18 months left on his contract and then go back to Argentina to play for Boca Juniors. Won't this be a problem for City? It's going to be hard enough for them to meet FFP regulations, but add in players running down there contracts and leaving and that must make it more difficult! When you consider how much City where asking for Tevez when they wanted rid of him (~£40mil), they must have planned to recouperate some money on his sale? If Balotteli keeps going the way he is and they have to sell him they will find they can't get the price they want for him or he will want to see out his contract on high wages. So there is potential for a few big losses, or loss of potential revenue. Will be interesting to see if they do end up having to offload a couple of players to meet the regulations when they come into effect.
Just saw RVP score against the Spuds, and was thinking, why doesn't Giroud ever go to the far post? It was annoying me today, and has in previous games too. All the crosses are either over his head or too low for him to do anything with. If he goes far post he might get a chance or two.
West Ham at home really is a must win for us. We will be in deep deep trouble should we fail to win it. Hope the crowd are up for it. It is a London derby.
We beat them at their place, we should beat them at The Grove. Or, if Piskie were to have his way, "The Groves".... (I jest)
I have a suspicion Spurs are not going to collapse as they did last season as well. Extremely worrying times, that we should be hankering over 4TH!!!!!!!!!!! Wenger has dragged this team down to the depths.
