He's kept Watford in the game and yes he flapped at one but he's been their best player no lolz about it
Made some good saves but I think the old Almunia is still inside there somewhere, he came out to punch a corner and missed.
Another London Derby to look forward too. Within walking distance of the Emirates or am I thinking of Chelsea's ground?
Some years ago, I had to walk to my nan's house in Plumstead after getting the last wrong train home and ending up in South Norwood near Selhust Park, about 9 and half miles walk and I was busting for a **** all the way. You don't really want to be walking those distances in London and Chelsea to Palace is even further. Emirates is practically in another land north of the river from those parts of south london.
Interesting. I don't know much about the whereabouts of these places at all, only that Emirates is North of the river, Chelsea and Fulham in the West, West Ham in the East and not sure about QPR. Couldn't care less about the lot up the road
It's not a widely known fact, but there was a team south of the river near Wimbledon many years ago called Hotspur FC who predated the club that took their name from this original club. The original Hotspurs were south Londoners too http://www.blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk/archives/1732
Rats leaving the sinking ship... How long before the players join the back room staff exodus at Manure? I predict they will be rushing for the exit during the January window.
Roberto MartÃnez has left Wigan and appears to be odds on to join Everton. Going to be interesting to see how he does at Everton. I see him as a future Arsenal manager.
I'm not that convinced by Martinez. He seems like a decent bloke, but basically he just managed a relegation battling team that eventually lost their battle. The FA cup win was a good moment for him and Wigan, but I think it might be a step back for Everton to be honest.
Martinez reminds me of plenty of managers over the years, the ones that have a certain amount of success with a smaller club but struggle when they go to a bigger club
