Just noticed, ever since Reading have dropped Jay Tabb they have been playing better. Been following them since they lost to us at the Madjeski. Just a thought.

Well there is something about Brian McDermott.... he looks like someone, or something, but I can't put my finger on it.

Haha I was gonna say Tweedledum, but Matt Lucas played that character anyway!

Only just found out McDermott played for Arsenal 79-84.

I made the "uncle Fester" (Adams Family) connection a while ago.

He had his black coat on.

Results today where ok for us. We could have done with Chelsea dropping points but otherwise tottenham and everton both drew.

Our next two games are big ones. If we could beat both City and Chelsea then on 22 games each we would be level on points with spurs with better GD, one point off Chelsea with similar GD and only 5 points off City with similar GD.

Lose the next two games and instead we find ourselves 6 points worse off with similar GD to spurs after 22 games played, 10 points off Chelsea with worse GD and 14 points off City with worse GD.

So i'm hoping the team are really up for these next two fixtures, we will need some big performances. Now is the time to put in a couple of really good shifts on the pitch, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski etc will need to really step up, same with the back line. A draw and a win still keeps us in a decent position, even a win and a loss wouldn't be the end of the world, but if we lose both games or draw and lose we are not looking in a great position! That said there is still plenty of time left in the season and as Piskie pointed out on another thread we do have an "easier" run in at the end of the season than the teams around us.

I would be delighted with 4pts from those two games, but 3pts wouldn't be a disaster either. We've got a good record at the bridge in recent seasons <ok>

You knew the original Tweedledum from the 19th century? You're older than I thought!

That dive by Rodriguez today looked very similar to the Cazorla one against West Brom a while back but because it's an English player the numpties on MoTD don't even mention him but instead talk about how it looked like a penalty from the refs point of view <doh>

Was going to mention this. Just pisses me right off. I was expecting him to get slaughtered for it but nothing.

Lots of people would disagree with you about this tbh... Just because we aren't in a shiny new stadium like yourselves...
