I think 3rd is gone barring a miracle. So spuds must lose tonight and drop points at Stoke.

 

Yeah, 3rd place would require a draw tonight, and then Chelsea to drop points down the line somewhere.

Also, seeing all those comments come back to haunt HIAG again is just too much to resist.

 

No Sandro or Dembele for the Spuds in midfield. I think that will give Mata, Hazard and Oscar a lot of room to move around. Spuds defence are going to be in for a busy night.

 

I'd rather take the safety first approach and get 4th nailed down, than try and go for 3rd and lose everything. We'll just have the inconvenience of the CL qualifier but, we can cross that hurdle once we get to it. I've been thinking about some of the teams we might have to play, should we end up in 4th place. I see Napoli and Milan are battling it out for the automatic CL spot, as well teams like Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid in the Spanish league. Schalke and Leverkusen are the ones to watch from the Bundesliga.
