Can't decide if I want to see Spurs progress in the Europey cup tonight or not ? If they win then they have more games to tire them out and distract them from the league, if they go out we can laugh at them and their morale will be sapped. So I guess it's win win really
Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing them reach the final and then getting beaten there. Don't really want them to win a second trophy during our drought, even though if those trophies are Mickey Mouse trophies.
The Europey cup has as much prestige as the Eurovision song contest. I wouldn't mind seeing the spuds get through to the semis and then crash and burn at the last hurdle before the final. There's no Bale or Lemon for a couple of games and what with the extra schedule, it looks like they might struggle.
I think it's better if they go through, I don't think they'll win the thing, and even if they do, I doubt anybody will care all that much. If Arsenal were in the Europa League, yes, I'd like to win it, but winning it wouldn't make me go tell other top teams haha look we just won a trophy look how great we are, because top teams can't even win the competition because the Europa is made for teams not good enough for the UCL, or not good enough to progress into the knock out stages of the UCL. Obviously Spurs fans are thick, and they'd gloat that they won a trophy in Europe, not realising Arsenal have ZERO chances of winning the Europa because we're not even eligible to enter the bloody thing!
