Well we had 2 great chances in the first half and a blatant penalty turned down in the second. I agree Liverpool could easily have scored more, particularly after they went 2 up but that's why the penalty was so crucial. At one down we're in the game, at 2 down we have to score just to get back in the game, that means taking risks and when you're taking on a side like Liverpool the last thing you want to be doing is pushing forward and leaving yourselves open to the counter. No question about that but there were 5 great chances in the first half, they scored one, Balotelli missed 2 and Chadli and Adebayor fluffed the other 2. Both sides defences looked shaky(moreso ours) but once the second goes in they're able to get numbers back and hit us on the break. You did the exact same thing to them when you beat them at Anfield last season. At the end of the first half we had 52% of the ball, in the second half we had 70% of the ball and that wasn't through our dominance, Liverpool just set up to make it as difficult as possible to break them down because they were in a comfortable position.
Looks like United have got Falcao on loan for the season. Poor Arsenal, and they think they will challenge, even mid table United are beating them to the punch. Chelsea: Costa, Remy, Drogba United: RVP, Falcao, Rooney City: Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic Liverpool: Balotelli, Sturridge, Lambert Arsenal: Sanogoals, Podolski and an injured Giroud Yes Arsene, your strikers look tip ****ing top
I really hope United keep signing attacking players on astronomical wages and ignore their shockingly **** defence.
I know, I said as much to them as well, as good a player as Falcao is, you would have thought that a forward line of RVP, Rooney, Mata and Di Maria would have been good enough (thats a forward line as good as anyone elses in world football imo) he would have been looking to replace Blackett, Jones, Evans etc in defence. Because even with Falcao, they will still ship goals in most games if their defence stays as **** as it is. Someone put their formation for the season on BBC please log in to view this image
Sign Shaw, Rojo and Blind and its still that bad then, not really. And 2 of our strikers are leaving anyway so its common sense signing Falcao.
Nah they all have potential David Ornstein ‏@bbcsport_david 1m Arsenal very unlikely to sign anyone before deadline. Barring late surprise & a couple of squad exits, #AFC business is done #bbcdeadlineday
Smalling is garbage, Jones has potential, Evans is garbage.... that's it. Haven't seen much of Rojo but he's not exactly Ferdinand or Vidic.
Evans is ****, Smalling is ****, Shaw, Rafael and Jones are mediocre and can do a job but nothing great. Know nothing about Rojo so cannot comment.
Not really arguing, he just disagrees with something you said. You think Evans is good and he doesn't (neither do I).
Not arguing, go around the forum and you won't find many people who think Evans is good. He is nowhere near the level United require.
Sorry Dave you're wrong mate, Evans is as bad or worse than Smalling is. You're gonna need a miracle to finish mid table.
