so he inherited studge and coutinho? thought not <doh>

still he hasn't had to get us out of jail countless many times of a relegation battle.

so moyes has had what 11 yrs odd to get everton to a top 4 finish, yep just the one <ok> yet brendan has bettered that in not even 3 season gone yet in a 2nd place finish, something moyes couldn't even do with a title wining squad.

Rodgers spent more on Borini than Moyes spent net in those 11 years........

It's called perspective mate, try it for size <ok>

    ok will do,

so a top 4 finish (1 time in 11 yrs mind) is better than coming runners up in the league in only your 2nd season at a club?

He inherited a side with a World Class forward and then spent £100m to make that happen though.

Now that star player has left you can see precisely what Rodgers has built with his now £200m+ investment - the square root of **** all mate.

Moyes operated on a shoestring budget and consistently out performed the level of resources at his disposal, pound for pound he was superb in terms of the league placing he delivered, it's an undeniable fact.

He didn't inherent a world class striker. Suarez was a very good player at the time.

And you're right about Moyes. He's a very good mid-table manager. Nothing more, nothing less.

Some managers have a certain level and that is his.

So he was just good at the time.......

So was the improvement down to the player or Rodgers and his ability to coach strikers into world class players. I just look at what he has done with Borini and Mario and think it must be down to the player<ok>

He was a tier 2 player. He was very good but not world class.

You're right to question whether it's down to the player's natural progression or coach.

You mention Borini and Mario - I can mention Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge, Henderson.

moyes and his top 4 finish of once in 11 yrs, or wining the charity shield with another managers players?

either way a shambles and not as good as a 2nd place finish, however you put it.

You are looking to compare two manager who had different starting positions when they started in the PL and budgets.

Moyes managed one shot at the CL places, with Markus Bent as his striker, the season following the loss of Rooney - world class player.

How is Rodgers doing after the loss of his world class player?

Moyes is useless..... to even attempt to defend the guy who actually held everton back for at least 5 years is just showing bias.

Martinez has developed everton more in 12 months and given a decent style, and the for once actual hope..... and you defend moyes to wum LFC.... moyes is a ****... a dinosaur, a long ball merchant at heart and more focused on stopping others play than playing himself. Martinez on the other hand is a guy who tries to play to his teams strengths, Pity he can't set up a defence eh?

For the record rodgers is done for and has failed end of.... move on. He can't set up a defence either.

bollocks, he went on to become a good player, fecking world class when you had him , jesus christ <doh>

Luis is in top 5 players of the world you would want in your side, rooney is nowhere fecking near even after he went to utd and had success.

plus we have lost our best 2 players from last season, how would you do if you lost 60 odd goals from last season, be bottom by any chance?

We were not reliant on goals from 2-3 players. We haev goals through the side and that negates the loss of player form or injury. Plus we have a progressive manager who altered the way our solid back five played to add more attacking threat while still being the third most watertight defence last season. We have had a blip this season at the start, but look to be back on track<ok>

Yet you only have 15 league goals!

WTF, why has Rodgers made you so reliant on a player who had a shaky injury record at best.

    no ****ing idea lol.

i don't think it was done on purpose, i think the plan was for luis to stay, but why the **** apart from the obvious choice of sanchez that didn't work out sadly, it wasn't addressed still, who knows.
