Rooney straight back into the Man Utd team after his cut. Couldn't have played for England though since headbands are banned from international games I think :emoticon-0112-wonde

Evra diving in the box. Where's the yellow? Oh yes, no yellows for Man Utd at Old Trafford in the first half...

Denied them two but didn't have the balls to (correctly) deny them a third. Weak ref

"Floppy" Young stumbles his way to another pen. He makes Suarez look stable <doh>

Fergie in the stands = ref well and truly bought.

Always amazes me how refs give fouls to players who have moved TOWARDS the defender to get the contact rather than the defender moving towards the attacker.

It should arguably be a foul the other way.

    This^

Couldn't really see anything other than a Utd win here tbh, but they don't have to have it handed it to them on a plate, ffs.

I thought that before watching the first half but Barr the RVP chance United threatened very little & were just milling about.

Refs dug them out of a potential hole here.

Holloway will get another touch line ban once press talks to him me thinks

Worse, the ref didn't know looks at linesman. Asked the linesman who states clearly he can't help him so the ref guesses & awards the penalty anyway.

    Disgraceful that.

Utd didn't look great in the first half, true. I still expected them grind out a win, though.
Palace looked a bit pedestrian- and now they're up against it.

BBC Salfords usual quality of journalism:

"I've seen another replay of the penalty incident. First contact was definitely outside the area - Young fell in the area. It's a grey area."

It's only ever a grey area at Mold Trafford funnily enough. Anywhere else and the rule isn't "grey" at all <doh> Shocking decision.

Palace have been a bit unlucky. Lost to spurs via a penalty. Losing to United via a dodgy penalty and haven't been opened up like many thought they would.

Problem is they don't really look a threat going forward with Gayle who may have potential but 2 years ago was non league so lacks experience in the top flight, Chamakh who has been poor last few years and Jerome who isn't prolific.
