I'm not angry tbh, its just very amusing that the only thing keeping Wenger in a job is a competition that he played a big part in devaluing many years ago in pursuit of the CL.;)

Also wenger has agreed terms on a new contract and has himself decided to hold off on signing while he decides if he is still the best person to take us forward.

If he doesn't win it he may decide to walk but he won't get the sack if he doesn't win it.

  4. Its vaguely cringe worthy at best, certainly not annoying.

You're right, it's pretty common to see teams not celebrating after they've just won a shootout

Wenger is an employee of Arsenal and shouldn't have the say on his future at the club otherwise the tail is wagging the dog.

The board have offered him a contract, they are happy with him. If he isn't happy to continue that isn't him controlling the club it's him making a decision about his own personal future.

Then I have to say to our Arsenal visitors that time truly has run out on Wenger - even if you do win the FA Cup.

Let's face it, Wigan were resilient but little more than that. Yet the made your side look very poor indeed. Don't just say it was an off day because it is becoming the norm. You already have lost 4th place to Everton and on today's performance you will be hard put to get it back again.

To be fair Wigan are the current holders and put city out in the last round without conceding.

If we get top 4 and the fa cup most would have taken that at the start of the season. Especially as given the games left it looks like we will improve our points total on the last couple of seasons as well.

Wenger only has a couple of years before he retires anyway and he'll do fine to maintain stability and maybe add a cup or two while we go about replacing him.

Other than a handful of poor results away to the big teams (funnily enough always lunch time kickoffs as well!) arsenal have improved on the last two seasons.

Plenty to work on moving forwards but don't think there is a desperate rush to replace wenger instantly.

I'm also still confident off getting top 4 looking at the remaining fixtures and with Ramsey back and ozil back soon.

I think you will get it too.

Everton have got a tough fixture list and should pull through.

Then it will be FA Cup and 4th and everything will be rosy again for 8 months with Wenger on a new contract.

    Then BOOM something will happen.

Open your eyes! Your side is not operating as a team. There is no leadership on or off the field. Even past players are openly saying that Wenger cannot deliver a motivational talk or change tactics during a game. Look at the shambles that Arsenal presented to the world for the majority of the game today and tell me that you you are in any good shape to scrap for 4th or enter next season with any confidence. You really cannot get away with "well we were playing Wigan", the way you played today Sunderland or Fulham would have put you to the sword.

Probably but it's nearing the end of his career now. Think the club will be preparing for life after wenger soon enough. Can't see him doing more than a couple more seasons now.

My eyes are open, offered top 4 and the fa cup before the season the vast majority of arsenal fans would have taken it. And wenger has given a level of stability to the club, which he will continue to do until we have the right person to take over.

There's definitely issues there to be seen that need to be dealt with but it's hardly Armageddon end of the world stuff.

Yeah I think 2 years and then out.

Tbf he's been brilliant overall but his own stubbornness is actually preventing him from jumping the final hurdle.

He's and old dog now and seems unwilling to make any minor adjustments - which is why you need a good No.2 next to you on the bench.

    Who's Arsenals?

  18. I forgot you were the guys that have a open top bus for getting fourth and winning the Emirates cup <ok>

    why so mean?

Personally I don't see the issue with celebrating a penalty shoot out win. The nerves for a shoutout leading to a cup final must be intense. Bet it's a great feeling to win one like that.

  20. Just responding Krome :)

Nothing wrong with celebrating, just wonder how they will top it should you win the trophy <whistle>
