  2. There is a difference between what should be and what rules say. Winning the ball has zero relevance in modern rules.

Ramires' studs land on the guys shin. The contact point is aboutsix inch above the ankle. It could have easily been a leg breaker.

So from the time Ramires touched the ball to the time his studs landed on Shaqiri's shin you think there was enough time for Shaqiri to change direction and move out of the way of the challenge? And being honest going over the ball with your studs up isn't really classed as a tackle, its something ****houses do on football pitches to avoid being injured themselves. I have no problems with people sliding into tackles hard, I even think two footed challenges are fine and shouldn't be automatic red cards if they get the ball and don't put the other player in danger but studs up tackles that go over the ball I have no time for.

I'm all for big tackles which take the ball and the player, but Ramires' could easily have broke the guys shin because it wasn't a full bodied tackle. He held back, stood up, put his studs up and went through the ball knowing full well the player's leg might have been there - it was. It could have been a season ender.

If you want a full contact sport (which football isn't, it's semi contact - although refs and players are doing their best to take it to non contact) then fine, it's not a red card offense; but it's certainly a yellow. Mourinho's bollocks about the ref ruining the game doesn't hold weight. His own player's cowardice and stupidity ruined the game.

City looking poor against Hull so far. Beat Newcastle easily but weren't great against Cardiff and now Hull - are they taking over from us as the team that struggles against the newly promoted teams?

Im listening on the radio, it sounds like they cant be arsed, not playing for each other. Maybe too many new players on the pitch? Same could happen to Spurs

Im sure they'll click eventually (City) Pelligrini already warning he doesnt play names he plays teams before this match

Barry should be starting then instead of Fernandinho. Barry was massively under rated last season for what he did, Fernandinho has done **** all but in the team because of how much he cost. If they don't win something major, he's gone.

Barry should be starting, i'd have liked us to go for him this summer. Who knows what will happen in January though

Yeah he'll be gone if they dont win anything, Manchini was there a while (obv won stuff) but if they struggle under Pelli then they'll def just get rid. They will start growing an Ambramavich itchy trigger finger if they dont lift anything

  16. Went so yeah <laugh>

Height wise it was perfect but keeper have saved it had the player not been there. It was at least a yard away from the corner so wasn't perfectly placed.

Apparantly Craig Bellamy elbowed Leighton Baines on purpose but Baines didn't react then told the linesman
