Mouriniho having to tell the Chavs to get behind their team, how embarrassing

  2. Jose will always defend his players but that is ridiculous. Ramires could have easily broken the players leg <doh>

Sorry G but there is no better time to find out. Yes there was pressure but the Super Cup could be lost without any real damage being done to the team or the club. He's an adult and a professional. He's not a kid playing in the park!

That's absolute rubbish! Ramires was first to the ball. The Byern player had time to make a decision if he was going to go into the tackle or not. On this occasion I agree with Maureen.

  7. Going to have to agree to disagree then. Super Cup or not, there is absolutely no way I would have asked him to take a fifth (potentially) crucial penalty. Why not ask him to take the second or third? Would you be happy if we asked Sterling to do the same? I wouldn't! I know he is a bit younger but they have roughly the same experience!

First to the ball, bit his foot was pointed up, with studs showing and he then followed through by going over the top and catching him straight on the shin.

  9. As much as I agree with him getting the ball first, that is simply not the rules anymore! He went in recklessly and could have caused damage, the rules are applied to intent and the simple fact of getting the ball or not is irrelevant nowadays. Its **** but thats the modern day rules.

I would say that his studs only became visible AFTER he had made contact with the ball. Plus he would have made no contact if the opposing player had pulled out of the tackle.

Would you be happy to see your player pulling out of a tackle, that`s like saying a two footed, knee high, studs up lunge would not make contact if the other player got out of the way.

Definite red. Although Ramires was very unlucky.

Caught the ball on top, studs first and skewed sideways into the players leg, not intentional but maybe wreckless. Red would have been harsh but yellow could not be avoided.

    Serious or sarcasm?

There's a reason AC ditched him, he's a crock. Plus he was never really that good. They've signed him cause they can't get anyone else and he was free.

What a load of pansies you lot are! Football is a contact sport. It contains elements of ball control, organisation and physicality. Ramiries did not go into that tackle with any intention to hurt the opposing player. He was first to the ball. His studs made no contact with the opposing player they ONLY made contact with the ball. His legs made contact on the follow through - a process that came into effect by the actions of 2 players.

If you are going to say that Ramires was reckless then you must also accuse the Bayern player of being reckless as he too accepted a LEGAL challenge. Nobody is suggesting that we go back to the days of Norman Hunter but it is a contact sport!!!

His studs were on Shaqiri's leg/ankle on the follow through. He could've easily injured the guy doing that, anyone with any sense that's seen that tackle thinks its at least a yellow card, possibly a straight red. It wasn't deliberate but it was dangerous and reckless. And to accuse the Bayern player of being reckless because you expect him to move out of the way in less than 10th of a second after he realises he's not going to get the ball is absolute madness.

That tackle was neither reckless or an intentional foul. And YES there was time to pull out. It's not as if it was even what is nowadays called "overly aggressive". There's just too much absolute rubbish talked these days when it comes to the disappearing art of tackling. "He could've easily injured the guy doing that" but what actually happened. After the customary rolling around feigning injury he got up and got on with the game! If a forward does not want to or cannot accept a defender's tackle that is not a foul then there is no way the defender should be sent off for the tackle. Rather the attacker should receive a yellow card for simulation
