No wonder team's don't take this comp seriously when it isn't even allocated a day to itself. Come the end of the day we'll probably all be talking about the other games if something controversial happens rather than the cup final.

1-0 to Sunderland. What a finish. Out paced Demichelles then shrugged of Kompany before a finish into far corner with outside of his right foot.

 

Borini is a difficult one. He has played well at Sunderland as he has had regular games. If we have him back he will be understudy to Sturridge and only play if Sturridge is injured, but may get the cup games.

Do we have him back or sell?

 

But whoever we buy will only be backup for Sturridge/Suarez anyway, so why sell Borini who is young and has had a decent season in the Prem only to then buy another player who may also not have any experience and may be older and no time to improve?

Me personally, think it's a no brainer that he needs to be kept unless he really doesn't want to be with us but I don't think that's true. I think he's hungry to prove a point and say he deserves to be part of our squad.

I don't think we will get our money back for Borini- and knowing how bad we are in the transfer market* don't know I want to risk not getting another forwards.

Borini isn't good enough for me, and probably never will be. However, we have much to do in the transfer market this summer- I wouldn't mind holding onto Borini as a sub whilst we explore other areas.


He's better than Aspas!





* Should clarify by "bad in transfer market". I don't mean we don't sign the right players- I'm saying we have difficulty SIGNING a player. Our targets frequently slip away.
