Yet he's had the most pressure to perform this season than anyone in the league due to his eating habits, racial slurs, media mass-murdering, and the whole transfer saga over the summer - Yet he's been by far the stand out player in the PL.

Most players would have simply crumbled.

    Pressure? What pressure <ok>

No he hasn't has he, so that accounts for all those 'low pressure' direct free kicks he scores from. When is the pressure ever off when you're on the pitch in a PL game? What a stupid comment.

What else did you expect. Anyway I thought Rooney had been taken off pen duty as he was so shyte at them.

I was thinking that maybe UIR had been listening to the protester Sisu posted about and it would improve the quality of his posts.

Just been looking at Spurs' remaining fixtures in the league and after the game against us, they have quite a nice run in with the toughest game probably being Stoke away.

However before that they have Chelsea away, Arsenal at home and us away in the space of 4 weeks. Think we need to make sure we build up a bit of a gap with a win against them going into those final 6 games as can't see Spurs dropping too many points at the end.

A decent gap and then a win in our #sixpointer could be the nail in their coffin

depends if they need to prioritize a uefa cup tournament as well.

not sure how far they could go in that, could have an effect on league games, tiredness etc.

Theres a substantial difference between a freekick and a penalty.

Maybe he likes playing hide and seek against the top sides.

Bloody good at it as well, not found the peckish **** all season.

As for crumbling.... Ronaldo and Beckham have faced far more pressure than Suarez ever has but they helpes tgeir team to far more than Suarez has helpes liverpool too.

If you take the time to read my comment I didn't say all games have 'equal' pressure but that all games are pressurised situations, no PL game could ever be called low pressure, some, local derbies, games against close league rivals for example, are obviously more pressurised. Then you have to consider the players, if it's a squad player playing in a match against a lower placed side where they've been given an opportunity to prove themself then it's massive pressure for them.

As for free kicks vs pens, it all depends at what point in the match they occur at. I presume you're implying a pen is more difficult and highly charged situation to score from than a free kick, but what about a pen in the third minute of a game when it's 0-0 vs a direct free kick in extra time when a top corner shot or excellent ball into the box could win it or get a draw?

Newcastle Villa has been sooooo dull until the last 10 minutes when it's been end to end!

Remy just hitting the post when he pretty much had an open goal to aim at!
