Disappointed in Mourinho. He didn't present Moyes with the tactical test that I hoped. I guess its up to BR to provide that challenge now

Reminds me when Hodgson came out and said something similar about playing well and being happy to take a draw against West Brom or a team that normally we'd be hoping to beat.

Bit different Chelsea to WBA. Chelsea parked the bus all that money spent and that's how they play. Should of had a pen when A. Cole blatent handball as well.

Terrible game
United look light in Midfield. If we can play like the first half against villa and restrict VP opportunities i think we will have a good chance.

 

Dull dull dull. But, on the evidence of that match we should be on for the title this year. If we can just be consistent against Utd and play our tempo and high line for the full 90 mins we will cause them problems. If we get scared and sit back/sit off the ball as we're prone to do we'll end up regretting it. Just need to keep pressuring and pressuring on and off the ball. Come on lads we can spank the mancs.

 

Percentages: with City losing at the weekend both teams tonight thought draw? Why not.

It'll come down to a couple of points this season so these games will be borefests like this.

Only good thing is we might get an attacking united this weekend: more space for us as we'll put an actual attacking 3 on, not 5 in midfield!

Well going on tonights performance are you going to tell me that if you don't improve, you won't lose at the weekend?

 

Yes. if the United players are so bad, then a Liverpool win is a banker this weekend..

 

Of course Moyes will put up the same formation against Mourinho's title favourites as against Liverpool away at Anfield..

 

If United play as badly and in such a disorganised way then it's highly likely that you will lose. You couldn't create and your defence became stretched when they finally put Torres on the pitch. And that was aginst a side that we more interested in a draw than anything-else.

Yet, you were at home. You were supposed to be winning the game. You were supposed to be the attacking side . So tell me why you were so ****e?

 

IF. My view is that Moyes was anxious about this first match at OT, and against a hyped team led Mourinho who also was trying to get Rooney. So the objecive was to avoid defeat at all costs. A win would have been nice but a defeat psychologicaly damaging. A draw not bad. So far so good after the hardest sequence of matches to a season start....

I hope that aginst Liverpool, as usual, United go all out for a win. Chelsea played very defensively tonight. Let's hope that Rodgers thinks like you and thinks that United will play rubbish as they did tonight and that he goes all out for a win too..

 

We were playing against Chelsea, there is no comparison to playing you. That said Cardiff beat City so anything can happen in a game of football.
