One can score from open play through their own creativity. The other needs lucky deflections or set pieces or own goals.

Dzeko should have been off for starting a fight.

Just because City have won the tie doesn't mean they're allowed to do whatever they want.

    More bad press for Moyes

Who knows if this is true, but you would expect as much given the circumstances.

I wonder if he is going to get through this? Man U are only 4 points down on the CL spots but with current form that could easily be 7 by the weekend and potentially 10 by the following week. If that were to happen I would expect there would be a lot of unhappy players at Man U.

Messi on late as sub for Barca and scores 2. 2nd goal was a bit tasty. To think, some people were writing him off after the latest injury!

The City-Barca CL tie should be an absolute belter. I predict goals :emoticon-0105-wink:

I could easily believe the bit about the back room staff, sheer madness to change them all straight away. I can understand players being suspect of a new managers instructions but once they go onto the pitch they have enough experience and (going off past years) enough ability to put things right when a system isn`t working, i don`t think the manager would/could bollock them for going off plan if they walked off the pitch winning.

In that case they don't need a manager.

If City can give the Catalans a spanking at the Etihad and go away with a good lead they can win it, especially if they keep a clean sheet; the away leg will be damage limitation. If they win it they can win the Champions League. Could do the quadruple.

I think all good teams dictate their own pattern once on the field. You can plan a game as much as you want on the chalk board/Ipad but once on the field the players have to have the nounce to find the spaces and make telling runs. A manager picks a team he thinks is capable of beating the opposition and points out his opinion of their weakness and strength, he can make changes during the game by substitution if a player is obviously mismatched with his opponant or by assigning a back up for a defender who is getting out played, he can decide to go 3 or even 2 at the back and push players up the field if chasing a goal or if his team are clearly on top. There are many changes/decisions a manager can make but he can`t tell the players how to play.

They managed to beat Palace 1-0 so there is a good chance of this.

Look the thing that city do have is height and physicality and pace.. i think they have a chance... It's prob not 50/50 but we need to put barca in context... are they at their best.

all we do know is barca would humiliate utd very very badly if they played them but city have a chance.

City have the assets to get into barca... utd don't it'd be backs to the wall crap.

BUT on utd... they are close to 4th but its 5points and inferior GD but thats a good thing for them, they aint out of it. I think utd will probably beat swansea this time round... but chelsea away? its tough. they've then two more gimmies before arsenal. All in all i think utd should stick close to the cl spot.

LFC need to win thier next 5 games if they can.. but that included everton and arsenal at home... if we want 4th we need to show the form for it.. and its after christmas when its a=won.. all we've done is position ourselves a little better than them right now. the winning and losing of it is the run in.

Further unrest in the Utd dressing room around Moyes' decision to kick out the previous coaching staff. Utd now 11 points off the leaders, the same margin by which they won the Prem last season. Apparently Vidic and Evra looking to move.

i heard that crap as well in the summer before Moyes had a chance to do anything as they wasnt impressed.

they may move on who knows, but it wont be a loss to utd as they are crap now days anyway and served their purpose to them,so the longer they are still there unsettling things the better lol
