By 21 he was scoring on a 1 in 2 basis mate.

To compare Coutinho to him is a piss take.

    Don't agree mate.

If you think about it, he's in a no lose position.

If he succeeds then he'll receive plenty of plaudits & he'll use it as a stepping stone to somewhere further up the food chain

Should he fail, then it'll be put down as 'the impossible task' of working with Tan & his reputation will be relatively unharmed.

Comparing him to is not the same as equating him to.

I can't be arsed with semantics today.

You know what both he & I meant, so if you've got anything to add - feel free.

see your point, bit like at mo it makes more sense for Laudrup to stay where he is, get a bit more recognition and he could end up with the arsenal or spurs job at some point, dont see one of them managers staying long, can you guess which one lol

  19. I heard someone claim that on the radio earlier too and I can understand that view but I don't agree with it. People are fickle and if he does poorly then that is what they will remember. How many opposition fans remember H&G ****ing the club over when discussing Rafa? Who remembers that Sam Allardyce was actually doing a decent job at Blackburn before the Venky's attempted to put their footprint on the place?

IF OGS does well then of course he will get the plaudits, but if they get relegated he will get the credit for that too, irrelevant of background shenanigans.

You could argue that Laudrup should have left last summer, as his star was never likely to be brighter than at that point.

As he'd won a pot & got Swansea into Europe as a result. The likelihood of him ever bettering that feat there is slim & he's now starting to feel the pressure a bit, as they're starting to struggle a bit, as teams have worked them out.
