Been saying that since the end of last season. The pre-season as done nothing to change my mind because our opponents were (in boxing terms) hand picked.

 

Thought we defended well from open play. It's just set pieces.. But the Stoke team towered above ours, I'll give it 5 games or so to see if we improve, Toure was impressive today.

 

I know its only one game but is anyone still standing by the 'Man Utd will be ****' stance after that?

Tbf it's the exact same squad Fergie left at the end of last season! If they are going to end up in rough waters it'll be when the mainstays and stand out players of this team either leave or retire and need to be replaced. Uncharted territory, not the familiar, that's when we'll see whether Moyes has got the chops for it.

 

Pretty much what I've been saying and I believe to be the reason behind a lack of transfer activity this summer too.

Cliché but judge everything after 10 games, and that goes for us too.

Thought Swans were busy but ineffective, like us sometimes last season, pass the opposition to death and don't score and then concede a silly goal.

They never recovered from going 1 down and never really put United's back line under serious continuous pressure. 1st game but there is no way Laudrup will be happy with any of that performance.

 

Since I didn't aim that comment at anyone inparticular, you seem to be rather offended by it

 

1st thing I noticed about Villa while watching them here, they are playing a ridiculously high line.

Will work into Coutinho & Sturridge's hands if they do that against us.
