Just looking at the transfer so far, and you really have to wonder about Newcastle, and their scouting system, they have bought 2 new players for a combined total of under £2M. While West Ham have bought a whole new team for £12M. Fat Sam getting a bunch of thugs in to start crippling their way into mid-table safety?

Think we have realistically got three main rivals this season in spurs arsenal and Chelsea, although will obviously still be watching other games with interest they are the three I think we will be fighting it out with

Pretty good piece that! Got the Van Persie part spot on, such a baffling decision. Makes you wonder if Fergie is trained in mind control or something the way he seems to have persuaded Wenger to sell!

I'm tempted to say no **** she...... but I won't:laugh: I think this season we could see a low points tally for 4th in comparison to other years, we just have to ensure we do everything we can to get our side of the equation right!

you could well be right about that points total for fourth and that is a sign that those teams mentioned have all gotten worse imo. As for it being obvious, well some people on here think we will be a lot ****ter (or even just as bad as last season) and I am just pining my colours to the mast.

Looking away from the Hawthorns today, Sunderland are capable of causing an upset, so are Everton and Wigan have managed to get big results against big sides at the DW. Newcastle and Spurs is a mouthwatering opening fixture, can't ****ing wait.

Who'd you rather win out of the Newcastle and Spurs match?

Think it will be Newcastle for me <ok>

Newcastle al the way, don't mind them being competition. Would rather they get top 4 out of any of our rivals.

Reports saying Chelsea have offered over £40m for Moderic and Levy is trying to stall the Real Madrid deal. Moderic wants to go to RM though.

Why the **** would Chelsea want another midfielder?...for £40 ****ing million? It's ridiculous, ruining football with ridiculous money.

Think that's bollox, Chavski offered £40M months ago, and Levi refused. Unlike the arse, Spurs don't appear stupid enough to sell to their rivals.

I hope it's not just me in thinking that Modric isn't worth the £40m that the chavs offered.

He's good but not 30 mill+. Odd player he is - doesn't score or create many assists.

Levy hasn't handles this transfer well.

Agreed, especially with what B4F has said. If they're offered £25m then they should take it.

    Just seen the Arsenal defence
    Jenkinson Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs

They went and spent all that money on Cazorla, Podolski & Giroud that they forget you need decent defenders as well. Very shaky looking back 4, and bar Vermaelen don't think any of those would get into the top 7 defence.
