I don't know why people laugh about LFC and their chances of top 4 or 6. Simple fact is that there is very little between the teams from 15th til 4th and any run over the next 5 games can see teams jump up or down the table fast. It helps us more that other 'big' teams are playing really poor. All we can do is keep improving and getting points; see where we end up. Top 6 should be about right though, and I'd be fine with that for Brenda's first season.

 

I think its because we have an inability to win games regularly.

Withinout that I can't see us finishing above 8th unless we invest. The teams around us are betting at scoring and seeing games through.

 

My point still remains though; other teams around us are just as inconsistant. We're still amongst the bunch and still just as capable of getting there as anyone else - even with just one striker and no plan B currently.

 

Yeah I see what you're saying, its up for grabs that's true.

I just don't see us as good enough to get a run of games to get us near 4th though. Spurs and Arsenal are better teams.

I think Everton are slightly better too. Newcastle are playing poor but they have multiple strikers and midfielders to score goals. I think we'll be scrapping with them.

Swansea and Norwich I think we should finish above, but Stoke tend to pic up more points than us.

If we pic up a quality striker then I can see us mixing it up. As it is I don't see us above 8th.

 

Makes you wonder, when was the last time we won 3 games on the trott? Can't remember it happening in the last 2/3 years.

 

Everton did us a favour beating Spurs to realy bunch up 4th - 12th.

 

Just hasn't happened. We've been average to **** for 2-3 years.

Todays result was a good sign though.

 

Can just see it now, we fail to beat Villa.

By the way, just watching Ath Madrid and Falcao got a couple of great goals. So depressing we are not in a position to sign him, probably go to Chelsea in the summer.

 

Yeah I think Chelsea will have him.

Hope we Hunter though.

We absolutely must beat Villa.

Today was the first time in a year we've won 2 League games in a row! And the first in 9 that we've won after a Europe League game.

The ex-Liverpool right back Stephen Darby may have missed his penalty in the penalty shoot-out but he has helped Bradford City of League Two knock out Premier League Arsenal!

Congrats to Stephen & congratulations to Bradford City!

Massive achievement for them and they are in the semi-finals of the League Cup.

 

Was gutted when Arsenal scored in the 87th minute as Bradford deserved to go through but got there in the end. Arsenal looked shockingly bad and especially as it was pretty much their strongest team bar a couple of players.

Think Arsenal may have to do what we are starting to do, take a step back, take a look at the club and players and start to build over again. They've always had young players playing good football but even now they aren't even doing that and a lot of their players are mid-late 20's and average so can't even use the "young squad" excuse anymore.

 

We got knocked out by Northampton and won it the following year, get your money on Arsenal under a new manager(due to Wenger getting sacked this summer)winning it next season.
