Wigan 1-0 up. Spurs fans go crazy, booing when Defoe is taken off for Adebayour.

If you asked a week ago AVB was a hero to them. Now he's ****e and clueless again. And if Spurs turn this around he'll be viewed as the saviour again.

    Fickle London ****s.

Probably because Wilshere had already had the same leniency fifteen minutes previously when he took out RVP and got a final warning from the ref...

No chance we will get fourth unless we invest.

Their fans have already binned him judging by the booing.

Chelsea seem to falter this time of year, will RDM be sacked come Jan/Feb? I fear a backlash for our game next week though. :(

IMO we are quite close to havin a really good side, 1 or 2 players away maybe, a really good number 9 certainly, the owners MUST get there money out. With the money we have saved on wages and the money we are making on sponsors anythin less than £25m net will be a disapointment

    Yeah it would be.

I would say we are 3 off having a pretty good first team.

For a squad I think we probably need 7-8 new players.

If we can stay on the coat-tails of the teams chasing 4th and then sign the 3 strikers that Brendan apparently wants, we can then go about climbing the table. Its better to be 4th in May than 4th in November.

Yeah. I doubt we'll get three strikers though.

We need strikers, left wing and someone in the middle of the park too.

I really hope we invest well but i've lost confidence in our ability to do so atm.

Hopefully we can send out a statement of intent this window - like we did last time by failing to cough up like 4 million and letting our target go to a direct rival!

Looks like we missed two bullets in the form of Dempsey and Siggurdson, not saying they're bad players, but they're certainly not performing well at the moment.

Fair point actually. Dempsey always had a question mark how good he would be in a better quality team with more pressure.

I still think he would of been a good option for us - and I don't think Spurs have used him well.

I think he would of added strength in depth indeed and another option, but in a way at least it's allowed Sterling and Suso to come through and develop more

The only thing we need in the middle of the park is a Lucas deputy, and maybe just maybe that can be sorted in the summer with the purchase of Moussa Sissoko on a free transfer. I would also like us to sign Nuri Sahin sign permanently, I'm 100% convinced he's a wonderful footballer. At the moment, the key area is attack, and we possibly if we can't get 3 strikers, two is definitely a must. If its from the domestic market, my two would be Walcott and Sturridge, if Brendan wants to go further afield I would take Klass Jan Hunterlaar any day of the week.

    Yeah Hunterlaar would be fantastic!

Him and Walcott would be interesting.

I need to keep watching Sahin. Is he that great? He's not as young as I thought and would cost a bit.

He's only 24, but he's is a class act, we actually need more players like him. I personally really like him as a footballer.

Yeah, that's true. My family are predominantly Irish (Northern and Eire -- Prods and Papists!), Scottish and English. But if you trace it back far enough (I haven't), I'm sure there'd be other countries represented. After all, populations don't just pop into existence do they? I once met a science graduate who contended he was WELSH, not Welsh, but WELSH. No other inputs on his ethnicity, i.e. no african diaspora. He didn't believe in god but thought the welsh, didn't evolve, but just popped into existence. Crazy bugger, he was. Lovely fellow, but bat-sh*t nuts. <ok>
