According to the Mirror, Alex Ferguson has sent a personal plea to Arsense Wenger to let him sign Robin Van Persie. However Arsenal are digging their heals and insist that Van Persie will not be sold to a premiership club for less than £25 million, he can however join Juventus for £20 million.

    Wenger agrees to RVP sale
Arsenal will reluctantly sell Robin van Persie to Manchester United for £22million, according to reports.

I'd love it if RVP went to United then returned back to his old ways of being injured more than Darren Anderton.

This seems the best place to discuss tonight's international football.

Lots of friendlies, which most people consider to be completely pointless, are taking place tonight.

    -

England vs Italy. (Kick-off at 8PM)

Northern Ireland vs Finland. (Kick-off at 7.45PM)

    Wales vs Bosnia-Herzegovina. (Kick-off at 7.45PM)

Scotland vs Australia. (Kick-off at 8PM)

Serbia vs Republic of Ireland. (Kick-off at 7.45PM)

    -

    And many, many more...

    Great news for two reaasons.
    1. He's going to get injured most likely.
    2. Arsenal don't have him and it improves our chances of 4th. Its great that our rivals Spurs and Arsenal are weakening and we're getting stronger.

In other international news, Charlie Adam starts for Scotland in their game with Australia whilst Joe Allen starts for Wales in their game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He's still got to agree terms and pass that all important medical.

Anyone know the fee they have agreed on?

Apparently he has failed his medical, due to a crooked back for carrying Arsenal last season.

    Bad day for City.

First of all their fantasy of all being from Manchester was shat all over and now their primary summer target of 2 years has gone to the only club that matters in Manchester.

Football, back as it should be <ok>

One good season and he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I give it three games before he is laid out on your injury table.
