Oh dear, poor Wigan. The best day in most of their careers wining the cup on Saturday, to the worst in getting relegated a few days later.

    they deserve to be relegated.

I had blamed BR on our poor defence which has improved greatly but Wigan have been fkn awful at the back for most of the season

    Yup.

First team to have won the FA Cup and got relegated.

I don't mind Wigan, but I find the love in with Martinez misplaced.

All the talk about Wigan Arsenal, forgot City & Reading were playing.

City 1-0 up with Aguer scoring.

IF Spuds fail to get into the CL it will speed up Bale's departure.

Spurs were a 4th placed team even if Bale did not play, since AVB took over they are nothing without Bale, so has AVB actually done a good job? ships out VdV<doh>

he has made spurs totally reliant on Bale

    Some good points Sisu.

Them getting Dempsey is a blessing in disguise.

Also cannot see Spurs getting top 4 now which might not be enough for Bale (hopefully).

He's destined for yernited. Ronaldo is not going back to the swamp, they are dreaming on that count (not cos of cash, because Ronaldo does not want to go back to yernited), after all Spurs are a yernited feeder club and have been for a long time.

You know what does amaze me, how the arsenal board sanctioned an RvP move to another prem club, not as if the amount was massive or an offer they could not refuse but shows the shareholders are the winners there

The BBC claim Wigan are relegated, but I'm waiting for Whelan to announce it...

  13. So, the final day of the season is going to be pretty boring then, especially compared to last season!

Only thing left to play: who gets third / fourth / fifth <doh>

I think the best outcome is
    3. Chelsea
    4. Arsenal
    5. THFC

No Champions League to annoy THFC fans. Minimum Wenger success to annoy Arsenal fans. Maximum Rafa success to annoy Chelsea fans.

    It's the schadenfreude treble.

  15. I agree on the Chelsea part but I can't make my mind up with the other two. Spurs not getting top four could see their team (Bale) leave. However, it would be funny if Wenger failed to get is four place trophy and it would be interesting to see what happens if they didn't have CL football for the first time in years.

Would Wenger and Arsenal part ways? Plus, if the rumours about Real Madrid wanting AVB are true we could find ourselves as the only top seven side that isn't getting a new manager <laugh>

Does he not deserve credit for setting the team up in such a way that it enables Bale to be such an unstoppable force?

Lets not forget he wanted Moutinho to replace Modric and didn't get him, that ruined his original plan for Spurs. He had to adapt & improvise by signing the likes of Dembele, Sigurdsson and Dempsey but none of them were really what he wanted in my opinion.

Will be interesting to see how he does this summer in the transfer market as he's had an year to assess the squad and look for transfer targets.

  17. Anyone else want to see Chelsea draw and Arsenal win by the odd goal but also scoring two more than whatever Chelsea get? FA have said they contest a playoff game since their points, goal difference and goals scored records will be identical. Plus it would be Bale FC finish fifth too <ok>

Do you think it would be over 2 legs or 1 game?

  19. One game at Wembley, the FA wouldn't want to miss out on a pay day!
