Can’t help feeling that Ritchie is the guy you want in a relegation struggle rather than Townsend and I still think we will be in one. I would definitely keep him.
You’re never out if one unless you have a Burnley/Leicester type season or have 100m to spend. We will be deep in it again you’d imagine. However Kenedy and a top notch striker might mean we only flirt with it.
To be fair, wasn't Townsend in one for a large part of last season and helped get them out? Agree that inbound of Townsend, Kenedy and Plea will see quite an exciting Toon next season.
If he was willing to come and play under Benitez then it would tell me he's ready to commit himself to proper training and playing for the team. He's got definite quality and it's always just his attitude that is in question. I'd love him though am slightly concerned that probably the only other person on the forum who thinks the same is still called "Ben 10".
I was thinking the same but then I noticed the only people who agree are Ben10 and this Haslam fella. Naturally, I changed my mind.
Matt Ritchie works so hard that you can forgive him the mistakes that he makes. Out of the entire squad, he would be one of the very last that I would let leave. People forget he's playing in a bang average side and that with better quality around him, he would improve.
I ****ing hope so. Ings gets injured and you've got a 'tasty' strikeforce of Joselu, Armstrong and another 5m striker. GeordieGinola out!
Excellent! DPP newly appointed manager! Oi Charnley there is some lad at Lens, plays LB - get him in!
