Broadcaster Nicholas Parsons has died at the age of 96 after a short illness, his agent has confirmed.

Parsons had hosted Radio 4's Just A Minute since its inception in 1967.

"Nicholas passed away in the early hours of the 28th of January," said a statement issued by his agent Jean Diamond.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Harry Gregg, who survived the 1958 Munich air crash, has died aged 87.

Gregg was often referred to as the 'Hero of Munich' after pulling passengers free from the burning wreckage.

The Northern Irishman had signed for United just two months before the tragedy, in which 23 people died.

"Harry passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by his loving family," his foundation said on Monday.

Gregg was a member of Sir Matt Busby's team of talented young players, who were nicknamed the Busby Babes.

It's impossible to think of Harry without also thinking of Munich, but my strongest memory of Harry is him being bundled into the back of the Wembley net in the FA Cup final and a goal being given '<yikes>
 
Roy Hudd, who hosted BBC Radio 2's The News Huddlines for 26 years and also starred in Coronation Street, has died at the age of 83.

In a statement, his agent said: "We are sad to announce the passing of the much-loved and amazingly talented Roy Hudd OBE.

"After a short illness, Roy passed away peacefully on Sunday 15 March, with his wife Debbie at his side."

The all-round entertainer also starred in Coronation Street.

A family representative said he "passed away peacefully at home from natural causes".
Rogers topped pop and country charts during the 1970s and 1980s, and won three Grammy awards.
Known for his husky voice and ballads including The Gambler, Lucille and Coward Of The County, his career spanned more than six decades.

Comedian Eddie Large, known for being part of double act Little and Large, has died, his agent has confirmed.
The star, 78, was a well known face on TV in the 1970s and 80s and was famous for his partnership with Syd Little.
