Keith Flint, the Prodigy lead singer has been found dead this morning at his home. Not a big fan of the Prodigy but tragic to see Keith die at such a young age (49). Rest In Peace Keith.
I saw the Prodigy in '95 at Glastonbury. The showmanship and drive of Kieth at that show was like nothing I had seen before or since. He arrived on stage in some kind of zorb like hamster ball and broke free of his cacoon to such a grand entrance of searing sound and light that I remember it to this day. RIP

RIP to a heart throb of the mid sixties, Scott Walker, of Walker Bros fame.
'The sun ain't gonna shine anymore' sounds just as fresh
and vibrant today as when it was released.

Another one from my teenage years.
I was allways jealous of the Walker Brothers ,because all the girls were mad about them especially their hair,
I could never grow hair like they had.
RIP Scott, you certainly made the sun shine.

Some classics - Make it easy on yourself, No regrets and The sun ain't gonna shine anymore are all age defining songs that sit proudly on my i-pod. RIP Scott, the sun will continue to shine as long as your songs are alive.

Former Liverpool captain Tommy Smith, who helped the club to domestic and European success in the 1960s and 1970s, has died aged 74.

Known as the "Anfield Iron", Smith had an 18-year career at Anfield, during which he won four league titles.

He scored in the 1977 European Cup final as Liverpool
beat Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 to win the trophy for the first time.

RIP Tommy

Tributes have been paid to comedian Freddie Starr who has reportedly died, aged 76.

The Merseyside-born comic, impressionist, singer and actor was found dead inside his home in the Costa Del Sol region of Spain.

Had to laugh at a tweet from Robin Askwith recounting a tour of the Middle East where there very strict codes. "Just two things Mr Starr, never swear and never refer to Prince Hussein directly" Enter Freddie with "Alright, which one of you ****ers is Prince Hussein?" Curtain down! <laugh>
