Exactly I mean it's not the same tree but it'll become just as historic and with a story most trees won't have.
It's true though in about 200 years sad people will go there and be told a story about the tree not being the original tree.
It will There was a giant tree at the top of Dunston Hill which blew down (snapped) during a storm a good few years ago, with the remainder of the tree was cut back to a stump It has been growing steadily since then and is now bushed out and looking really healthy
Are we really taking bets over a stump? I’ll take 1/2 that it gets ground out and a new mature tree is brought in.
