Very sad to read the breaking news on the Racing Post website that Reg Hollinshead has passed away aged 89. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP.

A good journeyman trainer. I guess his best horse was Remainder Man, who was second in the 1978 2000G and 3rd in the Derby after winning the Free Handicap. Came back as a 4yo to win the Ormonde Stakes.
Didn't he provide Walter Swinburn with his last years as an apprentice when 'Frenchie' Nicholson stopped training apprentices? He also 'trained' the fine Kevin Darley.
