I'm totally working that ****er. Get paid for the days I work, so ain't missing out on a day's pay cos our sexy ex queen is being put in a hole.
Apparently 10 mile queues soon for the queens lying in state. not bad for a country that allegedly doesn’t like the monarchy….
Totally respect her and all that. But man am I sick of seeing this on tv. I get it and I accept it. But it’s being thrown down our mouths a bit to much now isn’t it?
Its a once in 70 year event. I'm a big history nerd, so seeing all these things live is like living actual history. Don't forget, when her father died, none of this would have been televised. You're watching things play out that have been tradition for hundreds of years. We're putting on a show for planet earth and every single part of the UK so far has played it's part absolutely perfectly, it's a great moment for British unionism. The turnouts in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales have been surprisingly high and I think the overall reaction to Charles becoming King has been a great surprise, most of the UK support him and have shown a strong motion towards supporting the monarchy. Let's not forget, some suspected protests would take place. So far not even shouting in the crowds has been tolerated. I think this week the UK has reminded everyone why it is such a unique and interesting country with a rich culture and history, other countries just don't have stuff like this. Some have the history, Denmark, Sweden and so on, but lack the resources or size to pull this off, others are new republics and no one in truth gives a **** about their presidents there. It's a truly British event and I think we're doing a good job. And it's really only on the BBC anyway.
I hope that’s not aimed at my comment because I mean all respect to her and the situation. I am just a bit sick off seeing it everywhere I go. We are going through poverty in this country with people struggling to pay bills. Food and energy is destroying some families. I am not a royalist nor am I about to say anything negative towards the queen and monarchy. I stated I respect them. But at the end of the day every life on the planet is equal.
Appreciate what you say. And I did say I respect the monarchy and her. I am just saying it can sometimes be a big to much. On your drive to work look at all the closed dead shops. Where people used to work. People can’t afford to eat and keep their houses warm. Life is ****ing real hard for some people and I think they all respect her and the royal family but it’s absolutely everywhere. I don’t mind it. I am not a royalist nor am I against it. I appreciate they bring massive income to the country. But every life is equal. Man women or child.
Sums it up perfectly! We, nor our children, nor probably our grandchildren or great grandchildren will see a monarch like her in our lifetimes and certainly not a female queen who'll reign for 70 years. "Living actual history" is spot on, there may never be another like her!
Exactly tbh. Plenty round the country can't stand football and it's shoved down their throats every day for months. Just turn it off ini
