What a fierce little bugger he was. RIP Nobby my thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your friends.
Dancing around Wembley with the WC, socks down around his ankles. Never to be forgotten scenes. R.I.P Nobby Styles.
I've no idea what he was really like and never met him but he came across as a really decent bloke. Rest in Peace Nobby, there'll never be another.
I was really lucky to have met the England squad who were training at Wrexham's ground in preparation to play Wales in the home championship in the late 60's. I would be about 10 and was in awe of some of the players, Geoff Hurst, Bobby Charlton and Alan Mullary were total tossers, but I always remember that Sir Alf, Gordon Banks, Colin Bell and Nobby Styles were really nice, taking time to talk to me and my dad.
Well before my time but thank you to him, Alf Ramsay and the rest of the 66 squad always and forever. We did it once and we will do it again. KTF
RIP Nobby, and God Bless. I can remember the World cup in 66, though I was only a kid. But he must have been some player to have played for England and Man Utd for all that time. God only knows what he would be worth today really. He was a man before his time .(as of course were his managers), and that selfless approach, tireless running and football ability all in one is priceless these days. An Ngole Kante without the teeth!
